Re-creating PBN: copy articles on Wayback Machine or write new ones?

I am building my own PBN and thinking about the contents.

1. Copy contents on Archive:

This seems legit since re-creating a website means re-creating old articles; however, I have heard that there are people using tools to crawl Archive.org 24/7, downloading the articles and using them on their websites. If this is the case, I will face duplicate content issues if I just copy the articles and post them on my PBN.

Thus, before posting old articles on Archive, I have to check them for plagiarism, and this process will cost either time or money, or both.

2. Write new content:

With many AI writing tools, I can create like 500 unique, readable, well-structured articles in minutes. And the price is cheap.

Can you suggest me something?

Method 2 but I don't know if you can generate 500 ai articles in mins in single pc. If you gonna use multiple open ai accounts on multiple vps then you can.
Bottlenet here is the number of calls you gonna make to openai api and the time to generate 1 full article. You can buy an open ai 120$ account for 10-12 dollars and generate few thousand articles per account. Each account can have 5 parallel api thread running.

Your concern is valid. So you can use an AI tool to rephrase the articles retrieved from the way back machine. It will still cost money, but not that much.

And yes, don't worry much about duplicate content much. If your site has more authority you will have an upper hand.

When it comes to quality, scraped trumps AI generated. You need to bear in mind that archived articles are most likely out of date, and AI generated articles are not as good and not original, by definition.

Would you rather update a scraped article or fact check and proof an AI generated article? It is up to you.
Either way, you will need to check them for duplicated content.

I will always prefer this just because I only get recently expired domains.
Recently expired means that in most cases it already has pages indexed.
And obviously it will have good metrics so that means those indexed pages must be ranking somewhere in the serp results.

If you're going to build a PBN that will have an impact, then those domains are bound to have minimum a decent quality seo optimized content on them so no point in skipping the existing content.

With #1 you might face plagiarism and copyright issues.

I write new content always but via in-house writers.

Expensive but effective.

The problem with method 2, is that there are people popping regularly here in the forum with the thing that AI could hinder progress. But for a PBN I would not say it's that bad. So if you feel like so flexible to shoot 500 quality articles in a couple of minutes, I don't understand why you are thinking about this because I only see one choice.

I'd vouch for AI-generated content (assuming they're proofread well)
