I told you guys... the webservers aren't going to like the fact that it needs to run a php script long enough to post to all them servers at once. Even paid ones are going to hate you when posting to 20-30+ sites.

The irony: StatusMass is currently hosted on 000webhost. . Works because there are multiple little jobs, instead of one big one.

Am I right in saying nobody has built account creation for this project? If so, I might go ahead and do it. Many of these sites seem to have the exact same registration page. Let me know who's interested

Just switched over to newer Script on the StatusMass.com website. You will have to re-configure your account.

Just an update for those who are using WP-Status, I've encountered and issue where it will time-out after 30 seconds and simply fails to continue posting to the other sites. I've did a small change to the script and if it is successful I'll post the updated script here.

Cool. But watch out if you're using the "SEIME_LIMIT()" function, as this will get you banned from a lot of web servers if overused. Some of them actually disable the function to begin with.

Hey everyone,
I am lucky enough to have picked up this project from moronic_kaos with the intention to make it a great, community driven tool. It will remain free to use but I think it should be (as many have already pointed out) restricted to a low number of users.

Here is what I am thinking - Make it available to everyone who has participated in this thread already, as well as a few others who are able to bring something to the table. It can be by creating an automated sign-up script, supplying a clean list of sites, etc...

I also liked the idea of creating a network of Laconica/StatusNet sites that we build the PR on and reap the rewards. I have a few ideas on how to get this organized and, as a small community, I think we can make something of it.

I will toy with ideas of how to get this organized and look forward to your input on making this a really special project. Statusmass.com will be down for a few hours today as I get it transferred over and make a few adjustments and then will return with some sort of invite system to keep it limited to those who supported this great idea and script created by moronic_kaos

197666 - Good to hear about your outlook of the project. If you need I can supply my list of sites that I signed up with plus the username and password if you need to test some things out. I did the same for MK although I forgot to confirm the e-mails before he needed it

I got a semi automatic macro, which is kinda workign for me as it helps me weed out the crappy sites. I just downloaded DejaClick for firefox to use a macro. Another extension I used was FLEM (also for firefox) to load up a list of URL's and to scroll through each URL.

If you need help with that, talk to this guy, Hijinx. The last I knew, he was setting up a few laconica/Statusnet sites on what looked like sub-directories on sites he already had. They came out pretty good too, was able to autopost using statusmass, everything was DO-follow, and the only glitched I noticed was when you sign up for an account it would sometimes give you an error, but the account would still work fine. He'd be the guy that could explain the installation process.
