Now with fan pages, we know they "must be a legitimate business"

I have heard that

1.) a blogger.com site does not save your fan page from being deleted by calling that blog your legitimate blog and site.

IS THIS TRUE?

2.) When making a page, MUST IT HAVE THE .COM in it? or can it be the name of the site? I.e. Nalgene vs Nalgene.com ?

3.) Is it a good idea to do something like this with keywords in the title?

Site.com | kw | kw | kw | kw

for other high searched terms on facebook so when your fan page grows nad people search say "birds" your page may say this

site.com | cats | birds | telephones |other crap

so your page will outrank other pages on there as it grows and still be tied to your .com site

BTW, how are FAN PAGES sending private messages to individual members as a whole?

one fan page i joined has 20,000 people and it was able to send out a mass message to everyone. i didnt see that feature for fan pages, i only saw that on groups so i have no idae how they did it.

It is more the fact that you cannot whip up a blogger.com account with a single crappy post to authenticate a page.

A fan page is there to represent a website, business or person. So whatever you post on your fan page must relate to the content otherwise anyone from FB manually checking your page will clearly see that your posts are crap.

Remember that removing your posts does not hide them from FB staff so don't try to be smart with them this way, instead try to be subtly by creating a proper blog ($10, come on, you are going to earn more than that off the page anyway), posting decent content on the blog, updating FB fan page with links to the blog post like, "Make Sure To Check Out XXXXXX Post At Our Blog!" and have advertisements on the blogs, whether they be CPA offers, adsense or whatever you like.

In the long term this is the only way that you are going to be able to keep a legitimate fan page.

i got a fan page but i didnt "title it" the same as my website. my website/real blog are the same content. it is articles on my site that im using facebook to promote

It's not fud in any sense. You know those pages that have no updates when you load them yet they have 3 million+ fans and have had status updates in the past? They've had their publishing rights removed because they could not be authenticated due to the fact that they do not represent an entity.

At the least, your page will have publishing rights removed (unless you pay some insane amount, from what I've heard through the grapevine).

At the most, they're gone. So if you want to use a fan page in the long term, make it legitimate by following gimme4free's advice, because he's spot on.
