Is Google really not taking page speed into account anymore?

Apparently "Google has removed the page experience system from the main list, not adding it to the retired list, and removed mobile-friendly ranking, page speed, and secure sites systems from the retired list."

Do you'll think it's actually being "retired" or believe it is simply going to be reincorporated into some other "system"

Heard this before but I think they are going to have some big updates in upcoming months?
This because of Ai and they are focusing more on other factors (like backlinks)

Doesn't matter what they removed or not, every webmaster should think about speed, mobile friendly and security.

Probably the latter.

When site is really struggling with technical aspects and you improve them, there is jump shortly after almost always, especially with speed.

Well, it wasn't exactly taking it into consideration that much in the past, if your site had a lot of authority, you could get away with slow website.
