WTA About Redirect Backlink Method

Hello, I just Buy Aged Domain
and i will use this aged domain to make redirect 301 to my Landing Page!

but before that, I want to ask about the 404 page in my aged domain.

Is it better for me to set my .htcaccess so that all 404 pages go to my aged domain's homepage first, then continue to make a 301 redirect to my landing page

or no need to think long, immediately make all the pages on the aged domain redirect 301 to my Landing page

if the 404 pages have good links pointing to them you don't redirect them. You recreate the content on those pages EXACTLY as it was before the domain expired, then let google (re)index that content (it can take months, so you need to wait) and then you redirect the aged domain to the new domain.

If the 404 pages don't have / never had good links pointing to them I would not bother with them at all (I would not redirect them anywhere). But I would still recreate the pages that have good links, and then wait for google to (re)index those pages, and then redirect the aged domain to the new domain.

Now, it's possible that you might want to redirect the important pages of the aged domain, individually, to new pages on your new domain IF the pages of aged domain are very relevant to pages of new domain, but I'm not sure if it's worth the effort (ie. whether you get any SEO benefit out of doing this), so you'll have to ask around for more opinions.
