Nobody knows. Search engines will absolutely change in the future, so the future of SEO is uncertain. I know i wouldn't bet on organic traffic. However, even if it disappears, it doesn't mean new opportunities won't arrive. The new thing after SEO that we can make money off isn't yet know, just like decades ago SEO wasn't a thing, but eventually became really important.

Yes, it can and my guess is it will happen. At some point in the next few years, Google will fully switch to AI-generated answers....and the AI generates the answers from the web...
I think it will definitely happen because there are so many advantages to it. The biggest advantage: Google has full control over the output. We can already see a lot of bias and censoring. Not only because of their own ideology, also because of regulations from countries/EU, etc.
And because classic SEO won't work anymore, everyone will spend money for Google ads

everything I output with GPT comes off as 100% AI in originality... that's not a good sign, eh? or does it even matter?

If that happens and Google fully switches to a AI-generated answers then what is the point for any business to have a website? Personally I think this will bring a domino effect and people will stop using hostings which means that it will be the internet that will die and then where this AI is gonna get their answers?

I think GPT will help you obtain a high ranking in SEO if you can take advantage of it effectively.

If Google fully switches to a AI-generated answers then High Rankings Don't matter any more since, Google would not show webs on its AI-generated answer
