I have a youtube video in the Michael Jackson niche that has just under 200k views and I was wondering if anyone had any opinion on its worth.

Thanks

I never herd of youtube videos being sold. You would probably need to include the account with it correct?

Well YouTube just made this account eligible for adsense with videos. (I don't know if everyone can do that or if they only select videos with high views) I could do that but I really don't want to mess with it. I haven't got time.

They put ads there because it's not ur video.
But u can still put link in video description and put link in annotations

no there are no ads on my video right now.

when I log in to the account there is a notification at the top of the page about how I can make money with my "new viral video" by just applying adsense to it.

Well, in all likelihood, the views have already plateaued. PM me 150k views ago ;)

I've bought plenty of YT videos. What I would do if I were you is offer it up here
(and anywhere else you can think of) for rent.

Right now, with the recent changes YT made that everyone is still figuring out,
may not be the best time for your offer, but I guess that'll ultimately depend
upon your actual offer. :)

You can reasonably ask for $1/10k views (so $21/mo rental fee in this case),
but exp. 'players' will ask how many views you've received on this video over
the last few months/weeks. I don't know how much weight the King of Pop
still pulls in March 2010(?).

By rent, I mean: For say, $21/month, I would 'rent' a link in your desc. Something like
a CPA offer that mixes in some kind of Michael Jackson questionnaire, or something
else 'appropriate'.

btw, YT offers Adsense to videos according to views/popularity. Wait til they offer your
whole channel Adsense--then it'll be worth your time to take a look.

If I were you, I'd create another account and throw the same exact video
up there with some promotion (paid and/or otherwise) and this time attach
some relevant link at the beginning of the desc. You must have monetized
this video somehow right? Or are you just a die-hard Michael fan? :p

I looked more into what YT offered me and this is it: YouTube Partnership Program.

Anyways yeah I did monetize the video with a content lock gateway locking some fake content about michael jackson but it never really made that much.

Video's become eligible for the partnership after so many views and a certain amount of time passing. I recently joined their program and have made some decent income off of it. In fact, today I got a single click worth $1.42 :)

I don't know how long your video would last once it starts running ads considering your infringing on copyrights with your video.

When did I say I was infringing on copyrights?

When did I say I was infringing on copyrights?

Michael Jackson is copyrighted. It depends on what your doing with it but if its a video of him singing or dancing then you are infringing on a copyright.

it is not a video of michael jackson's work. i'm not violating copyrights

Maybe you can sell some advertising space on it?

Maybe sell the link spot as well as the description?

I was going to say ad a watermark and sell that, but that would involve re-uploading the video thus destroying the viewing efforts i believe.

Can I take a look at your video that having lots of views? I can consider buying or renting (by putting my link in the annotation or description box). I send you PM asking for those links...

YT can be a bitch, i had a video that had gotten 500 views in 2 days, the next day 300, then 400 then 500, then i got banned. I would have been at 20k by now.
