I created a furniture website based on 4 relevant domains four months ago. Initially I got ranked high on Google and then almost all pages disappeared to command "site:" and I got sandboxed. I use Google Translate but I make corrections.

Are these 4 domains previously expired? And when you say 'based on 4 domains', how is the site structured? As 'one website built on 4 domains' sounds more like 4 interlinked websites to me

1 website should be on 1 domain only. All other domains should be 301 redirect and canonical to that 1 domain. Or create different websites with different content if you want individual domains.

Yes, they were expired. One of them is the base one and the other three are 301 to 3 relevant category pages (kitchen furniture, pallet beds, and sustainable furniture).

There could still be many reasons for the website's performance issues, but my gut is saying that there may be too many expired domains in the mix here to properly diagnose. If the site is pretty much in limbo at the moment I'd remove those 301s and see what the one main domain on it's own can achieve.

Do those expired domains have a clean backlink profile? No spam? No PBNs? Have you added any backlinks? If yes, what type of backlinks?

There isn't certainly anything wrong with your website. Maybe it just needs more time and more consistent content uploading and backlinking.

That could indeed be one factor, no real growth in backlinks often results in stagnation, especially with an expired domain where existing links may well be disappearing.

But without actually knowing the domains in question all any of us BHWers can do is speculate really.
