Is forum submission still works?

If the forum is relevant to a specific niche and has a substantial amount of traffic, it can still be valuable, and its no-follow links may hold significance.

What means "works" for you? It surely satisfies a purpose. It can give you both authority (with massive numbers) and reputation (with a very engrained strategy) correctly done.
If you don't have much budget I would give it a go but also is by far one of the weakest techniques to get a very little pinch of power in any sense.

Of course, work. But you have to do it the right way and on the right forums.

It is hard to get relevant forums. Even if you find the forum, most of times content will go moderated by moderators.

Indeed, everything will not be very good - then you need to make an effort.

Forum submission can still work as part of a broader marketing strategy, but it should be used judiciously and with a focus on providing value to the community.

If you can get do follow from relevant forums. Most of the times they don't as they are no follow or forums will remove the link and ban you if you try to drop a link.

If you are talking about using automated means then NO, if you are taking a long term approach (providing valuable input, building a brand/presence) then yes. Goodluck

Links like forum and blog comments are weak links. They are a bit easy to acquire and hence have less value. Moreover they are no-follow links all the time. Only if the forum is relevant to your niche you can expect some value out of that link.

I suggest you should invest your time and energy in building guest post links which hold more value than these tier 2 links.

If the forums have traffic from google and rank themselves for different keywords, links you get from those will affect your site positively.

Still, I want to know if is it working. I want to add a profile, social bookmark, blog comment, etc.please share your experiences.
Yes they do work. Go build those if you can't afford guest post or pbns

There are many other factors behind this:-
- If the forum is relevant to your website niche, then yes it still works.
- Forum is non-spammy and highly moderated, which allows only quality threads/posts.
- Allows do-follow links in posts, even if it's no-follow still you get quality traffic and some link juice as well

Yes, They do, if they are niche relevant and not the spammy ones with no activity there.

And even if they are high authority forums and just the thread you are going to post to is related to your niche then it's also good.

Blog commenting is outdated technique of making backlinks. You can try Blog Submission and Free Classified Ads. This will work.

It seems to me that this is no longer very relevant, although you can try.
