I'm seeing lately .ai domains are hot and even Namecheap as of today raised .ai domain registration fee.

There are fair amount of 4 letter .ai domains that sold for $10,000 and more.

I've seen 3, 4 and even 6 letters .ai domains that redirect on Namecheap to private offers, where sellers are already asking for $1Mil and more.

On the other hand, Godaddy Valuation Tool still values .ai domains at around $100 while .com domain value is by default over $1,000.

I think Namecheap is more updated on .ai domain's value & grow in popularity in the near future than Godaddy.

If you're buying .ai domains now - where or how you plan to sell them?

I have seen a lot of private deals (thorugh twitter & linkedin), plus people are selling on SEDO as well. (.ai) domains are selling at pure luck now.

Yeah looks like private deals can be better for .ai domains than Flippa.

Managed to get a 4 letter .ai domain (while .io domain is selling for over $5,000).

Deciding if go for a quick flip or keep it for next 2 years - in case .ai domains explode in popularity hmm.

For Sedo - do you recommend to list .ai domain as an auction or Make Offer and park domain?

I have people coming to my LinkedIn inbox, selling their .ai domains (at $50k avg "insane").

1) I think linkedin works super good, have seen a few sales
2) cold outreach on other plateforms
3) Flippa/SEDO/Namecheap auctions works good

Great info shared.

Will try few Facebook private groups for buying & selling domains but mostly I see inside cheap charlies looking to buy for max $300.

Should create Linkedin account I guess.

LinkedIn is surely good investment, as business people/investors are there & they will be interested in this stuff.

Facebook groups are shit.

Agree. Most of my "business" time inside fb private groups are waste of my time.

Yes much better to sell it on SEDO and registrar auction

If its actually a good domain, try brandbucket or Dan.com (be careful Godaddy brand) or similar service.

Most ai domains are used to build saas tools
Brainstorm names in that direction

Would even be interested to give a commission to some member here - if can get me a serious investor into my 4 letter .ai domain.

Weird on Flippa that brags to have 200k buyers, even page 1 auctions barely get 20 views daily.
And Flippa keeps raising their listing fee - now already at $49 plus extra 10% success fee so no point selling domain or website there for under $500 because then you end up paying 20% and more to Flippa.
And half of listings on every page are sponsored listings now - like tv channel with ads every 5min.

Most DM I get on Flippa are from buyers that mostly bid up to $200 there. Or not even have the knowledge to install a Wordpress import file, then I offer to install everything and even advice them on which web host to use.

Surprised how downhill Flippa went in last 2 years.
Or buyers and sellers really went elsewhere.

I see expired domains sell on registrars for $280 despite they being just parked domains.

Where do you all get expired domains and how much you paying for them?

newbie here but I just picked up around 20 ai.com and .ai domains from godaddy. Have probably $1000 or so wrapped up in it but I have few good ones I believe. I don't think everyone will go with the .ai extension so that's why I have more ai.com domains

You can offer to tech companies.

You can offer to tech companies.

I'm seeing that generic keywords have good potential with .ai domains.

Tech companies are spoiled for choices regarding TLD, with even .tech looking desirable.

And surprisingly even 4 letter .com (non keyword) domains are selling for under $500, if you know where to look.

If you want to pay 5-6k for renewal fees go for it , if you can make your money back

Should be easier selling privately than on domain selling platforms etc...
