Social traffic is not a ranking factor. Social media links are getting weaker day by day but they still do help with seo but a tiny bit compared to 5 years ago.

As IM Dude said social media links are not as powerful as they were back a few years ago. They can drive good referral traffic but I don't think they do anything better than that.

In my opinion, it does/ promotes faster rankings but indirectly. From my experience natural social links or signals have made my pages index a lot faster which means i have more time to see how everything is performing and get the keywords to first page.

yes social media really helps with my money site..
the better the engagement rate the better it is, but usually i build pbns around my moneysite too.. combined with authority DA PA and trustflow, and social media, the site generate 4k - 6k users a month, subscription based..

so, yeah it works
