I'm banned again. Some of you know me from my previous post https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/how-to-evade-reddit-subreddit-ban.1483092/
In short, they ban me from a specific subreddit and whatever I do I can't evade that ban. They detect me somehow. They use a bot program callaed "ban evading tool" basically a bot that detects people whho attempto to evade ban.

After all my attemps have been failed, I decided to do it right. I considered every possibility. Every single detail they can detect me. So I bought a new laptop, bought a completely new internet provider with a whole different IP address and I even changed the timezone of my laptop. They couldn't even see my IP address since safari automatically blocks it. I deleted official reddit app long before that. And I logged out from all of my banned accounts way long before that. So I was a completely new person on internet.

The result? I'm banned again from that subreddit. I didn't even spam on that subreddit. I was acting completely normal.
I'm about to go crazy. There is no way they detected me. How is that possible?
There is also no way they detect my writing style because there are millions of users in that subreddit. That's impossible. A bot flags me as suspicious and mods auto ban me.

For those that aren't aware of that "tool", it was introduced 7-8 months ago and only specific subreddits have it (maybe 50-60 subreddits). It's not site-wide yet but I believe it'll be open to use for all subreddits soon. So be carefull.

I think I'm about to give up at this point.

This is a misconception. Of course they can see the IP otherwise you could not communicate with their server. Client-server connection is done with an IP.
I didn't even spam on that subreddit. I was acting completely normal.
Did you spammed with the previous accounts? How your new activity was different than the past one?

Its not magic Op, its software logic. And if its software logic, another software logic can and will defeat it. You obviously leave a trace somewhere. My suspicion is the content itself that you are posting on the subreddit. It ties all your efforts/accounts/ips together.

Safari says it hides my IP address from trackers. But let's assume they still see my IP address, they still can't detect me since I started to use a different internet provider and my IP address is changed. I didn't log into my old banned accounts with my new IP and logged out from them long before I connected my new internet and bought my new laptop.
Nope, I didn't spam with my previous accounts. And I believe my new activity is different than the past ones. I'm almost sure about that because I was too carefull with that.

Nope, that's not possible to relate my new activity to the past ones. I didn't even post threads in my new account. Only made comments about different topics with a different writing style (didn't even used the emojis I used before). There is no way that bot detected me based on my wirting style. There are millions of users on that subreddit. Also my IP is different. I changed my internet provider just for this. My laptop is also different. There is no any cookies they can detect me with.
I'm not saying it's magic. But I suspect that bot wrongully flags me as suspicious and report to mods. And then mods automatically ban me without any further investigation. They don't even answer my DMs. If that bot becomes site-wide then I believe millions of users will be banned wrongfully.

It may be possible. What I've seen from Google as well they may be creating a hash based on behavioral and maybe typing cues of the user on the site and as you may know the hash is unique and uniquely identifies you.

I recommend you hire someone and instruct them to do exactly what you did on Reddit and see if they get banned. I suspect not.

It isn’t the bot that you need to worry about. It is the mods. Bots will often flag account activities as spam, or even randomly but when a mod checks things manually they can most certainly identify something is wrong and ban you. For what it is worth, the banning may not be because they identified you as X person’s alt account but due to the fact that you matched the behavior of common spam accounts specific to that subreddit.

In some countries, there's some sort of link between the address and the IP. Even if they don't know for certain, you are probably marked as located in the same place as a banned member. If their settings are sensitive enough, given that you are in the same location, they can be a lot more liberal with other indicators they have.

It might not be anything technical. If your posts look similar, the mods can easily detect and ban the account.

I don't think they are using a method like this since they have hundreds of millions of users. It's not like they detect my writing style among 100 people. You maybe right but I don't think they are using this.

Before that bot was introduced I had no problems evading ban. I think the bot is what I should really worry about.

Can they know my home address based on my IP?? I looked at different sites to see what my IP shows and only detail is the region of the city I'm in. My city has 2 regions with more than 1 million population. I don't think I'm that unique.

Probably not home address, but street / zipcodes are sometime available.

This doesn't act itself as a proof it is you, but together with other indicators.

Another point of view: If your primary focus is to join and try to get along with this specific subreddit so you can promote stuff in the future, then this in itself is a pattern, because: Mods will see you pretty much insisting on activity only on this sub right after you registered the account. A normal user will engage in different subs and activities, and not trying to 'inflate' their activity only in one subreddit, this with a freshly created account.

What @deppo commented seems most close to truth to me at this point, if your past accounts can't be linked with your new ones:

Reddit Geo-resolves IPs down to an "area" level - - check your "network" tab the next time you open Reddit. You'll see a POST request sent to Reddit that contains your browser make, version, OS version, country, state, geo-location resolved within 10 km or so, screen resolution.

Thanks for the reply. Actually itsn't a fresh account. it was 2 months old and just because the reason you mentioned I was also active in different subreddits as well. But those subreddits weren't the same subreddits I used to frequently visited on my banned accounts.

I took everything into consideration and acted almost perfectly. At this point I think that bot wrongfully flags me. I've been active on that subreddit for 3 years and I knew hundreds of users by their nickname because they were all very active. Now I can't see them anymore after that tool was introduced. I think they all might be wrongfully banned like me as well. If that's the case, this tool can give serious damage to reddit if it becomes site-wide. The working mechanism of that tool is: it flags you as "suspected" and report to mods. 99% of the time mods ban you without questioning. No one knows what that bot flags you based on. Even subreddit mods don't know that. They say "anti evasion tool flagged you and we banned you". That's all. I read multiple issues with that tool. Some mods said it doesn't work correctly etc.

Btw I didn't promote any stuff. I was just commenting as a regular user. I also acted dumb and new to sub to not get idetified.

I didn't know that. How can I look into that? What is network tab?
My new laptop's os is macos. old one was windows. Screen resolution is also different. The only thing reamined is my geo-location resolved with 10km. One of my buddies also started using that subreddit who resides a few block away from me. I messaged him to see if he got banned as well. If he's also banned then they ban me based on my geo-location.

Thing is, its not one factor, it's usually a confidence score based on multiple factors. It's really hard to specifically say "this is why you got banned" conclusively. I've had a lot of heartaches with Reddit last year -- even random things like joining one subreddit and then another one that disagreed with the first can sometimes get you shadowbanned (ie Reddit is the worst echo chamber ever). Try keeping a 2 week "cool down" period between making the account and starting to use it heavily. Rate limit yourself initially, behave like a normal user ie lurk more than you comment, save posts. In general, slowing down helps.
Try purchasing an aged account and see if you get banned. If you do, then it means your IP address (you're probably behind a CGNAT which means many people in your area share the IP address) may be suspect, or low reputation. Try a different browser. Test multiple times, see what works, and don't do too much too fast, age your accounts naturally.
Even everything I said so far isn't foolproof, I still lose accounts from time to time.

network tab
The tab you open up in your browser to see HTTP requests. CTRL+SHIFT+I on firefox.

you'll see an HTTP POST request that looks something like this (I've anonymized it):

This isn't all, of course, there're other requests sending packets to datadome that I haven't examined properly, but you get the idea.
My advice would be to start learning about HTTP packets, it's a good way to start figuring out what may constitute the confidence score a website gives a user. You can always use ChatGPT to help you understand JSON strings. Just paste the HTTP body into ChatGPT and ask it to parse it and explain it to you.

If you post same content over and over again, and you are unique in your niche, then they probably just remembered your posts. Could you DM me more information? Let's dig it together.
Also, don't forget about image recognition tools which remember what everyone posts, maybe they have flairs for specific content or something similar.

Nope
