I don't like him or dislike him because i don't know him personally. I think he's funny. I think he's smart. I think he pretty much just does what most people around here try to do. He is gaming the system. He is not a very ethical person, but neither is the system that tells us we have to be good lil boys. He's a masculine man who can fight and knows how to deal with women, which is already enough to be a positive influence to a lot of men, relatively speaking. I mean, would you rather be Tate or Destiny, with his stupid blue hair, spending his time playing video games and watching his wife fuck other men? It's pretty standard for most boys to grow up dreaming about being strong, rich and attractive. He is that.
Some people will say Destiny, and that's maybe why Tate is so divisive. He appeals to a certain demography that sees life in a certain way. And at the same time, he goes against the entire existence of people who are maybe more similar to guys like Destiny. They don't care that much about their appearence, they don't work out, they aren't strong, they aren't masculine, they aren't dominant, they aren't combative and they aren't desirable, so they see Tate as a threat to their way of life.
If you get comfortable in your weakness and with your lazyness, and if you grow up in a world that encourages it and applauds it, suddenly you don't have much motivation to change anything, because society respects whatever you decide to be, no matter of how damaging to yourself or society it is. And then if someone appears, trying to shake things up, making fun of you, criticizing you, changing society's view on people like you, suddenly you will feel threatened. You will feel that we're at risk of creating a society that might not respect you unless you put up the effort to become something admirable. And maybe you don't want that change. You wanna be fat, have pink hair, call yourself weird nouns and see everyone around you being coerced to pretend you're cool and smart. If a guy starts convincing people that maybe you're not as cool as smart as you think you are, you will see that as a threat.
Tate says alot of things that are the truth and people need to hear. He doesn't say anything new. He just says things that in the last 10 years people became afraid to say. Does this mean he's right about everything? No. I disagree with him on plenty of subjects and i think he exaggerates a lot. But still, most people i see HATING him seem to be much less of an ideal role model than he actually is. I'd rather have a son that grows up to be an unapologetic bad ass, that literally kicks ass and is desired by tons of women, then to have a son that cries about sexism and defends feminism like a submissive white knight. Most people who hate him are like that. It's very rare to find a real masculine man that has serious problems with Tate.
Society needs people like Tate otherwise we're all just a bunch of sheep afraid to say what we want. Right or wrong, he is not afraid to say what he thinks. Most people are. Most people just repeat what they think is acceptable by society's standards. It's good to have people that aren't afraid to say what they really think, because freedom of speech is very important. You know what every single rat hole on earth has in common? You're not allowed to have an opinion. Every shitty country you can possibly live on doesn't like you having opinions.
And it's also important to have people who disagree with Tate but have the ability to debate his ideas in a logical fashion. Most people i see here disagreeing him do nothing besides insulting him.
