REVIEW:

I have been using the service for several weeks now. I have not had a good experience with the service, the control panel, and especially customer support.

Support can be is quite rude at times, unhelpful, and worst of all completely INCOMPETENT. They do not know how to help you in most cases even when it comes to resetting your password, which you cannot do yourself for some reason.

ISSUES:

My first issue with mobilehop was when I first encountered this thread and tried to get the discount. In the sales copy it says to "Hop over to our live chat with your username to get your discount and try mobilehop today." I followed these instructions and using their live chat a representative told me thats not how I get a discount. I have to reply to the BHW thread with my username to get a discount.

While using the service I experienced several bugs which made using the service impossible or difficult. First, IP whitelist feature removed my IP address when I would change proxies. So I would have to disable IP whitelising, re-enable, and then add my IP again. Every time. I reached out to support about this issue. I got the impression that support was trying to blame me but they did not directly. They did everything but take responsibility for the bug. They did say they would refer it to "the dev team." But 3 weeks later the issue still persists.

When changing proxies the proxy IP and Port for authentication changes. Every time. So you must update your software or browser settings to use the proxy every time you change proxies. This is unacceptable for the $180 a month price tag. For some people thats a car payment and this service should be more user friendly.

Yesterday I spent more than an hour trying to figure out why IP whitelist wouldnt work all of the sudden when I changed proxies. I contacted support which was rude and unhelpful. They could not help me. The answer was simple however. I had to add /32 to the end of my IP I wanted to whitelist. I trained mobilehop support for them with that answer.

FALSE ADVERTISING:


The reply above given to a member here when he asked if these are rotating proxies is FALSE. Mobilehop does have a setting for custom "rotation time." But this only cycles through however many IPs they have in a given location, which is usually one IP. So it does not rotate. This feature DOES NOT rotate through their locations, even if you buy the most expensive multi location package. Again, the rotation feature ONLY rotates through the IP addresses they have available for the location you have selected.

YOU ALWAYS MUST MANUALLY CHANGE LOCATION!
