its really random it goes up and then just no views and then 2 more days past another 1k views in 20 mins and then no views again

I'm not experienced in youtube but I think the drop in views after a while is normal, before it rise again, however If you see you're getting views for normal now, just keep going, and YT Algo btw like everything else is about the CTR , the more peoples like & engage with your content YT will spread it more viewers, your goal is to make sure your video get shown to the right audiences.

I've seen shorts being on the recommended feed next to regular videos but very rarely, and once you are in a short, people im assuming just swipe down for more shorts so I don't get how the CTR is derived from.

Yes, that's how they behave. Some shorts will go suddenly viral while some shorts will struggle to get handful views.

Unlike long videos in You Tube, shorts are more dynamic in nature when it comes to traffic. It is kind of unpredictable (and so were the long videos, but shorts are even more unpredictable).

You have to increase the number of shorts per day. 5 to 8 shorts a day, probably? Making shorts shouldn't be that time consuming and if you are serious about this business then you MUS invest these efforts.

Once you throw in 100 shorts you will see some of them working good while some buried in the graveyard with zero views. Don't get surprized, they are like that.

Getting monetized in 30 days is not easy with shorts. But if some videos go viral, it might be possible.

ive gotten a little over 1k views from like 10 shorts , o havent been uploading daily ive been lacking
