How Many Videos Does It Take to Get Promoted on YouTube?

I have a question for you all. At what stage does YouTube start promoting your channel? I've read a lot about evergreen videos and search-friendly content, but I'm interested in hearing from creators who have already produced a lot of videos. When did you start to see YouTube giving you recommended traffic?

A - At 10 videos
B - At 20 Videos
C - At 30 videos
D - At 50 videos
E - At 70 videos or more.

Youtube hasn't released that information, so nobody knows for a fact. But it seems to be a lot more based on your traffic and likes than on how many videos you have. Why would Youtube promote you just because you have a lot of videos? Videos aren't feedback. Youtube wants to show its viewers what it thinks it's valuable, and the only metric to assess that are views and likes.

Your 1 video can be promoted by YT if the content is solid. There is no any rules for video quantity.

There's no general rule when, if at all, your videos will be promoted. Also there's not really luck involved. You videos will get pushed if they already provide good KPIs.

It depends on the video contents, quality and niche.
Sometimes luck plays a role as well.

You could post 1 video and blow up or post 100 and never blow up.

On average, 16% of my vid promotions are from YouTube.

I'm not sure if that's high or low.

I suppose it depends on the niche you're in.

But I think it's fairly decent just working on having more of my videos retain visitors that I get from YouTube recommendations.

I'm not sure if there's some sort of magic formula regarding the amount of videos you have to upload to start getting recommended.

Keep in mind that YouTube uses a fairly complicated algorithm that considers many different factors like how many views, the percentage of content each view produces, and other factors.

So instead of looking at just how many videos you need to upload and playing a numbers game, you might want to focus on uploading maybe a few videos, studying user interaction or user behavior, and then scaling that up.

As the old saying goes, build on what works and ditch what doesn't.

There is no band for this, it can happen anytime. Your first video can also go viral or you have to wait for 100 videos.

youtube will never release that info - so its guess work only.

Recently on Reddit I saw that someone new to YT uploaded their first video to their channel and that video got 3.2M. So I don't think there is an exact answer to your question.

I have exactly 105 videos, there is no movement yet, I have been uploading for 1.5 months.

There are 30 minute or even 1 hour videos... there are videos under 5 minutes on average and I am waiting.

shorts are watched but they are not important to me, long videos need to be watched for 4k hours.

Some time ago. I heard that youtube will consider your channel for promotion if u uploaded 30 video over 8 min. But I don't know how true it is as I have not experiment it.. video should be same niche also and not copyrighted

I had posted a few videos, 10 12 days later it was watched and recommended. but I deleted those videos because there was a problem, they were not copyrighted.

Then I made many videos on ai myself, shorts are watched, subscribers and likes are also brought, but? Although I made such a good quality in big videos, the viewership has not fallen yet.


I look at my competitors, they have produced such poor quality content, I am surprised how they watch those videos and how they like them ...

I have time to wait, I'm throwing 2.3 videos a day. I have 7 minutes ready and I'll deal with uploading it

By the way, it has nothing to do with the 8-minute videos.

I've come across a few channels from my competitors.

They have 2.3 minute videos with 1 million views and 100 thousand views.

completely the right category and the right keywords related to your field.

the rest is up to the mercy of youtub...

and the location is very important.

Did u changed the niche of videos as u deleted your videos

Your 1 video can be promoted by YT if the content is solid. There is no any rules for video quantity.

I can confirm this. I know people that achieved partner with 1 video. This is extremely difficult but not impossible. 3 if content is good, it's doable. 10 solid videos, and you should be getting close to required watchtime. Of course good videos take a long time to produce/cost money to fund and algorithm will not necessarily deliver.

I have seen channels take off with their first video, while others have uploaded hundreds of videos and still received no views.

So, success depends on the niche and content.

A trending niche with a large viewer base can make a significant difference.

for eg., last year one of my AI information channel blown with its first video and I was able to monetise the channel just with my first video
