Yes, It does impact your ranking and plus your audience. Better get one of the top extensions like .com, .net, .info, .org, or maybe .io.

Ur audience won't take you seriously with a .online extension and can be looked at as a spam domain.. .com is king .net is for when u can't get the com and .org is usually for organizations... all can work and are more trusted unless you happen to be a company or have with prestige for the other extensions.

When it comes to rank in the serps with multiple domains with samename+keyword like; jsmithdigital(com)
I have a theory and see this in the serps;
Example1: Alina Habba (Trump Lawyer) if you type in her name then she pops up with her domains, net, info and org, here I see the info and org domain ranks lower then the net extension.
Example2: Bloomberg, here ranks full on google paqe one and two a big wef friend of google...but they have domain variations yes, but I see they rank with multiple com domains, so it looks like they prefer com extension domains.
My theory of these both examples is that a com and net extension of same personal name or personal name+keyword ranking higher in the serps as a info and org extension domain.

When this sophistic type of "lie" is truth, so then why you not see pro,news,sites,info, org, etc,etc...extensions ranking high only .com domains? They when have google page one ranking, are listed below com domains.
