It’s local domains for doctors in cities all across the United States. For example SanDiegoPediatrics.com

Tried cold emailing but not getting any replies, looking for some other creative ideas. We have over 3,000 domains spread across the United States.

You are best ranking them first and then selling / renting them out, else, as you are finding, just trying to sell the domain is not a very good business model.

Is that realistic for 3,000+ domains though? Not saying you are wrong I do agree. I just think ranking that many domains would take a super long time and a huge team.

For context, I was approached by the owner and they are looking for a quickish return. I could do that with some of them but they are burning $40,000 per year just on renewal fees. To give more context :)

It was a bit over the top to buy 3000 domains before they even tried to see if they could sell 1!

The value is the ranking not the name.

You can always try ai to help.

I have done some seo stuff on bing where once indexed you can rank page 1 in a day or so for emd. That would increase their value.

You will get even more if you can rank them in the gmb 3 pack.

I agree def not a lean business front loading expenses but good suggestion with AI. I don’t expect a full break down but you used AI for blog posts?

that’s your secret sauce I don’t expect a full method lol

Create a html page to list all the domains in one page with prices

Then go on Facebook ads to advertise it

You get 1 click per dollar

Did you ask ChatGpt to give you a strategy from 1990?

3000 sites, is not a small job. So, as they are not your domains i would tell him he will need to invest, else they are worthless as the days of domain name arbitrage are largely over. Now you have to buy, add value and then sell.

Ai is not that difficult to use, you just need to play about with it to get the prompts right for your needs. Then you could perhaps combine it with a text spinner, have a standard site design template and probably best hosting on cloudflare.

Read some of the journeys about it on here to get more ideas, but that is the general direction i would go for site setup. Then obviously you need to rank them.

If he wont invest in adding value to his domains, walk away. I would charge him $120,000+ to set it up for 3000 domains, it is only $40 each and more to rank them. And if he did not commit to all 3000 with 50% upfront i would again walk away.

If he agrees to invest and you dont want/know how to sort it, set up a jv on here, i am sure someone would help for that sort of money.

Good approach, I will use that as a guide line. Yeah tons of work but can be done for the right amount.

I will take a look
Maybe you could use GSA contact bot.

Just not sure how fond a business would be getting a contact form pitching them. Or if even the right person would be reviewing these contact forms.

You could always give it a try bro. If you want I can run the gsa contact bot for you for few days without any cost, just to see if it works. just lmk bro

Yeah, I might try it! Have you used it and had success in other industries?

3000+ domains is over $30k / year. So you invested $30k and you don't know what to do with those domains?
What was the initial plan and why you started with 3000 and not with 3 or 4 domains ?

I buy and sell domains as a side hustle/hobby and it's usually a game of patience......you set up your landers, use Afternic and wait for the offers or someone to hit the BIN button

These type of Geo domains don't really go for that much when doing outbound - usually in the low to mid xxx range.....Could be you are asking to much for them? Without knowing your asking price this is a guess...Are they all hand registrations? Or did buy some on the aftermarket/auctions?

If they are all hand regs then you can get a decent ROI in this range if you sell enough

Also when you are doing outbound are you including a link to the sales lander? A good one is DAN......have you set up for sale landers for all of them? You might get a few offers or BIN from type in's while you are doing outbound.

It's a numbers game mate - you need to hit every single lead in those areas multiple times and direct them to your sales landers and see what sticks

The average yearly sell through rate for a good quality domain portfolio is around 1% - 2%

Might be worth making a few calls to them if you can as well......

GL with them

I did not purchase them, I had a business person contact me asking for help. I am seeing what BHW thinks in terms of marketing them.I would not buy 3k with no strategy in place lol
