Hey mates!

Well, my Amazon associate account was closed for because a plugin was mistakenly displaying the Amazon logo on my site. I appealed and appealed but got a big NO.

Since then every account I created has been closed at max of 2 weeks. I tried changing IP, email and name but same site, yet account was closed.

I will never change my domain name because this site is 5yrs old and I have built some level of authority on it.

What I want to try now is create a new wp site that looks exactly like my current site (though I will remove some content to create a difference) and redirect all amazon links from my current site to a similar page on the new site. So that when a visitor visits my current site and clicks on a link they are redirected to a similar page on the new site, and then they will have to click again to visit Amazon.

Ofcourse, this might discourage the user from clicking twice but for those that do, atleast I get to earn something from my traffic than earning nothing at all from Amazon.

I'm in the electronics niche, I considered walmart but the commission is just 1% which is very poor.

What do you think?

Do you think Amazon will ban this account as well if they notice the traffic source to the new site is coming from my current site which was linked to a banned Associates account?

I have looked for answers regarding if Amazon checks the traffic source to a website, or they only care about where their special links is placed.

Thanks for your response.

As for whether Amazon will ban this new account, it's hard to say for sure. Amazon's policies can be strict and unclear at times. It's possible that they could notice the traffic source and link it to your banned account, but it's also possible that they won't. Unfortunately, I can't give you a definitive answer on that.

Also Have you considered other affiliate programs besides Walmart? There are plenty of options out there that might offer better commission rates such as ShareASale, Commission Junction, eBay Partner Network, Rakuten Marketing, ClickBank, Awin..etc

I'm in a micro electronics niche where most of the products are already on Amazon. Another store that comes close is walmart.

I have tried Skimlinks buy it didn't work. If your site is banned on Amazon, forget Skimlinks or viglinks.

As for commission Junction and shareasale, I can't find the merchants I promote their products on their platform.

Hi friend!

When you were banned, what happened to your money on the platform? Did they pay you (how much time), or have you lost it?
