When does Facebook delete a fan page?

Why do fan pages get deleted?

If they are obviously breaking their TOS then it can be immediate.

But if it's less obvious and you're just making money and only just breaking their TOS then it will get deleted when it gets to 900k and up.

Nope, your allowed to hide content from non-fans, or else they wouldn't allow the code on static fbml

Because they are using pages (which are designed to allow mass publishing to fans) for things which the TOS state that they should be using groups (which do not allow mass publishing past 5k fans) for.

Pages are for businesses, artists, etc.

Groups are for artist fan pages, fun stuff, and most of the other crap that people lose page publishing rights for
