I think the size of this site is so overwhelming for noobs. I think we should have a noob friendly section where senior members can post very basic things and tutorials that are noob friendly to get them started. I would try to contribute and there are many awesome threads floating around here over the last couple of years that would be awesome to have in one place.

All the sections are already crowded with information for newbies. If they aren't willing to learn from there, they most likely aren't willing to learn at all.

As a noob i think Section "Noobs" will be very helpful. Becаuse the information is very scattered аnd much information confused us!

Not a bad idea, but I do know that if you search "noob(s)", "newbie(s)" "newb(s)" or any variant of the word on BHW, you will find a TON of posts! I MEAN A TON, and unlike DP, most of the posts are legit and not people just trying to make a few bucks for themselves.

whisper: hey uh, newbs. Did you pay attention to what I just said?

i have referred some people here that are not nearly as tech savvy as i am and they were very overwhelmed with all the info. they didn't know where to start. that's why i was suggesting it.

I agree with this statement right here. I am very tech savvy(Network Engineer, Telco engineer) but just find myself overwhelmed with all that is out there from PPC to CPA to adsense to this to that. It is very difficult to find a starting point.

Lol! Then we should also start a granny section for grannies to help them learn. Newbies are always welcome to pm any member (not spam) regarding any problems they have, at least me.

the amount info is definitely overwhelming but its the same when approaching any complex subject, i think some people expect it to be easy to learn these things but the fact is its a lot of trial and even more error.

its hard and there is no getting around it. i dont think information can be spelled out anymore than it already is here. If people cant absorb it then i guess its not for them, it took me 3 months here to earn my first $1 and i felt like quitting so many times, i still feel like quitting sometimes because i am not earning what i would like to but i guess i am hooked, i see the potential and i know its only hard work and years of experience that will get you rich.

Sure there is the odd member who is 16 years old and makes it big after a couple if months but thats quite rare imo, i think they are just blessed with a nack for im. the rest of us have to put in the hours. :)

I absolutely agree. People always tend to forget that IM is a serious business. And to be honest, I don't think that someone who is not able to find the info they need the way it's presented to them here right now, will be able to run a successful IM business.

I think i have started 3 threads about this already.

Thanks Peter! ;)

LoL man, I didn't laugh so much for a long time...that was funny !!!
"granny section" in this forum lmao...:You_Rock_

Instead of starting a Newbie section, maybe in future people who post useful information for newbies could include an easy to search for keyword at the start of their post titles. e.g NEWBIE FRIENDLY:How To Make $300 per day On Facebook etc.

At least when newbies do a search on the forum when they enter 'NEWBIE FRIENDLY' as a search term these types of posts will come up in the list and be more accessible.

I know it would be difficult to implement, but i think it would be better than starting a new section.

its not hard, and if they are too retarded to get used to bhw they dont belong here. its only a forum, not rocket science.

i'm ok with a newbie section, and quite possibly, for every major area of internet marketing, SEO and whatnot there should be a newbie section (alternatively, just one ""for newbies" folder and made up of basic topics for each specific area)... its not about being lazy or stupid, its simply knowing where to start-- getting a map or compass for the right direction. it is especially difficult for those with absolute zero knowledge on these topics but are eager to learn. i've been a newbie here for more than a year now, coz i dont go full time on any project that i've read here about or any marketing strategy i discovered, because there are way too many of it. bhw members are that good to find new and innovative ways to earn online so learners would have to work doubly hard to keep up.

now if for instance, a newbie blogger would like to know stuff about blogging and bh seo, then bhw section on that subject matter can have a thread on the newbies basics, it maybe stickied up the list so every noob who comes in here will know which "door" to open first. now for affiliate system etc, also one "door" where a "tour" of the house can be done so to speak. because i think what's happening for noobs here, after they signup here, they open the floodgates of the bhw-- they jump from one post to another (usually where the $$ sign appears in the title, lol), clicking aimlessly on every topic which they have no effin' idea what's being discussed therein. like running a software in a VPS server when they have no experience whatsoever with making a basic website from free sites... you know what i mean, and the noobs would definitely know what i mean... for gurus here that may sound downright dumb, but as angela has said not everyone is as tech savvy as many of you here are... i should know, i was like that too when i first came in here.

so to angela, you've raised a good idea and i totally support you for the noob section/folder! im sure a lot of gurus here would be honored to mentor the newcomers to atleast point them to the right direction, but definitely NOT TO SPOONFEED them.

@armtor:

I understand your thoughts. However, I think that for someone with zero knowledge, BHW is simply the wrong place. There are numerous IM newbie forums that are much better suited for the kind of help you need.

And please don't forget that this is a forum and not a tutorial/mentor site. That doesn't mean that no one will help you with specific questions. On the contrary, there are enough members (myself included) who will always try to help you in these cases.

Hell no, BHW is the most noob friendly forum I've seen. Any nicer that this would be gay (not that thers enything wrong with it)
