So I hot banned for violation the guidelines. I’m currently setting up a new account with a similar setup on the same (resetted) old android device with a proxy. Question is: can I upload the exact same content given I change the metadata and apply a filter on the clips? Will I get automatically banned again if I use the same IG account name in the bio of the new TT account? Anyone with experience trying to exploit the platform can maybe chime in here. Would it be smarter all together to get an entirely new device? Cheers!

I follow a female that got banned from her main. 300k followers on main and a backup with like 12k. her main was banned, she made a new account and was banned at 12k. Got her main reactivated for 2 days and bam, banned again. 12k, banned. new account...banned.

Good luck.

Did she upload the exact same content, did she have the same links/accounts in her bio?

It was all similar. She showed her body often and she seemed kind of stupid and didn't understand that.
Yeah I’ve understood that this is a bad way to go. I keep the main account as safe as possible to appeal after a ban but I’m doing stupid shit on the side on other accounts and I’m afraid tiktok is gonna connect the accounts and ban all of them. I found a way to quickly grow accounts to 1k followers via stitching tho so I’m gonna try to get her to go live on one of those accounts. Privating all of the videos beforehand, here’s hoping this works (fingers crossed)

Same...anything questionable I put on a feeder account.

So last night, a content creator for call of duty was complaining that her video went viral on someone else account. I explained to her that once her content hits the net, it's the internets. She got emotional and her answers were that. I tried to tell her that she doesn't own the copyright to the video because it's...call of duty. So fast foward to the end of our talk and she said. "hey thanks for the follow. DOn't steal my content , i looked at your profile"

It made me laugh because her content is pretty good.

Putting the same IG account will most likely not get you banned! But posting the same content will!

if your posting the exact same videos you will be easy to spot n ban

Changing the metadata on what you upload is fine, but I think you'll want to identify the primary cause of the ban in the first place. Proxy issue, IP issue, possible fingerprinting since TikTok most definitely check your device IMEI. Depending on the issue, even a hard factory reset on your device and fresh account won't stop the ban or shadowban from happening.

It kinda does, some accounts work fine while some don’t. I posted essentially porn so that’s the ban reason for sure. I do know that tiktok will let you make a new account after getting banned out of the gate though, until you infringe again and again at which point they permaban the IP. Device bans seem stupid to this day bc whst if I sell the device? The next user won’t be able to use the phone for TikTok anymore then?

Device bans can be bypassed with a factory reset and Tiktok cannot read your IMEI, especially on iPhone.
I have a jailbroken iPhone and Tiktok stores data in the iphone local keychain database, the keychain is only ereased when you factory reset your iPhone or if you have a jailbroken device and use some tweaks to delete the hidden tiktok files (that remain there after uninstall). It's just as you said, if you get banned then factory reset your phone and sell it does it mean the person who's gonna buy it will be shadowbanned? No, the tiktok developers were smart enough to think about that too.

Awesome! I do know that some people have reported there is an Apple ID ban for newer IOS versions, is that true in your experience? They apparently add a TRUE/FALSE value to a banned user's Apple ID and it becomes redundant for tiktok from there on.

I am not aware of that but you can just create a new apple id everytime you factory reset the iphone and get around that

Good info on that, thanks. Although I'm still quite sure TikTok does (or at least used to) collect the device IMEI which and the Advertising ID. There's more tracking and big-data possibilities from accessing the fixed, never changing IMEI value which is why it's want to it. Anyway, my data is from 2020 - 2022, so not sure if they made changes to that late last year on in this one.

Fair point, but I seriously doubt TikTok cares about any of that. Specially not since new Samsung phones have it preinstalled and tagged as essential. There was also a thread here a year or so back about how you're essentially shafted if your IMEI is banned and you'd need to buy a new iPhone to get to use TikTok again.

I can share my experience for this similar thing. I created a TikTok account before on Jan. And then I uploaded more than 20 videos, but it's weird, I only got about 200 views for each video. So, I decided to give up that account. I got a jailbreak for that iphone, and changed the IP address. Plus, I recreated a new TikTok account, and uploaded some kind of funny videos. Guess what? I got 1000 followers after two weeks.
Hope this method can be useful for you.
Cheers,
