i just tried loging in to check stats and they state that my account is banned for terms of service thing. hell i've done nothing with them for almost a year. oh well they suck anyway.

content writing for sites like ac has gone to hell.. any indian can sit and write an article.. thats why the article rates went down..

if you're any good in writing articles, you'll start a service doing that, and you'll make much more than with AC..

Yeah, I used to get like $5-6 per article in niches AC likes. Now those same articles would fetch maybe $3 at best. I've moved on from this.

It used to be fun to bust out 2 or 3 articles first thing in the morning. Now it's just not worth it in my opinion.

i wouldn't mind cause i gave up along time ago with them but i'd like to know why thats all. probably wouldn't tell me anyway if i emailed them.

I just got banned from there today.

I haven't written anything for them in about 5 months, so no biggie. But it pisses me off that they thought my articles were fine before, and suddenly they're supposedly not.

Ironically, the last few days I've been thinking about how I could make more by making micro niche sites out of articles like that than I would by submitting them to *any* of the writing sites or even doing them as a standalone writing service.

The one good thing AC did was show me the stats for a lot of different niches, so now I know what to bother with.

Since we were both inactive for a long time, I suspect that they figured they wouldn't lose out on any new content if they found a way to keep 100% of the ad revenue generated by our articles. So what better time for a fine-tooth-comb "account review?" :buttkick:

Same man, I found out I got the ban hammer today as well. Ac's probably smartened up.

I think they are banning everyone with more than one acct. because I got a legal letter from them... though haven't use them in about 1 year now.

Your accounts and payments at Associated Content have been suspended indefinitely for suspicious activity, including multiple violations of our publishing guidelines and our Master License Agreement.

Any of your submissions for which we offered payment, but have yet to send payment, have been removed from our website. We have rescinded these offers and cancelled the pending payments.

If you open another account, it will be closed automatically without notice. We will also file a formal notification with PayPal which may suspend or disable any services in which you have enrolled with them.

It just seems too much of a coincidence. Red gets caught for selling the guide, then everyone starts getting banned.

I got the hammer too and all of my articles were legit.

There is definitely something going on with Red's book/BHW. Since a lot of us are getting banned almost all at once.

It's not the number of accounts. I only had one, and got the banhammer anyway.

This may indeed be it. I remember some threads here saying there were idiots at AC who were on a crusade against him and anyone else who bought the book.

ass content's not worth your time. personally, i think the forum title should be changed to just "Writing Articles"....after all, writing articles is profitable....but AC is not.

trying to make money on AC is something i'd expect a newb at dp to do now.....not BHW members

I got banned today too. All my articles passed copyscape, and I've only ever had one account, but I did buy RedTide's book. No big deal, it sucks I lost my residuals.

I bought redtide's book and a day or two after I posted a question about AC here I received an email from AC telling me I was banned. I used the same username here and on AC so I don't think it would have been hard to connect the two if they are monitoring this forum.

I'm guessing that almost everyone that has gotten banned in the last couple of days has purchased his book? I have multiple accounts with different paypal addresses and those didn't get banned, only the one I used when buying the ebook.

But AC isn't even worth anyones time anymore, I never really did anything with the place.

I got the ban today. I have not used the account in forever either so no big deal. It was making little to nothing and not even worth submitting anything more at this point anyway. However, I was kind of mad they don't give more of an explanation. I dont think it is the Red book or whatever since I don't even know what that is. I had only one account and submitted all orginal articles that I wrote myself.

Anyway they suck and it is too hard to earn much of anything.

My guess - the guy that wrote that book, they got him in trouble for something and then forced him to divulge who he sold it to as part of the remedy. Hence, how they "know" everyone who bought the book.

Seems logical. I mean I don't know much about these things. I got my account banned yesterday too and I was writing my own articles and only had one account. Oh well.
