iFraming? XRumer'd websites? Any other type of traffic?

I would say sources of traffic or leads that are deceptive or against the terms of agreement.

I think I speak for the majority of people when I say that we're not too attached to you either, and you're free to leave whenever you want. Before you proceed with your assumptions, I'm not trying to gain anything from this thread, other than general input.

For whatever reason(s), the forum has gone from a TRULY blackhat forum to something completely different. Everyone has their own opinion on what is and what is not blackhat but I can tell you one thing: What used to be considered common and acceptable on here in regards to blackhat is now non-existent.

I was mainly refering to the whole iFraming deal - Is it considered fraud now? There's a major difference between it and other blackhat traffic, as iframing won't convert for the advertiser. Before asking the question, I thought I should pop some other stuff in, to make stuff more interesting.

Everyone has their own limits. I personally don't do iframing but not because it's "fraudulent". But would I feel sorry for the advertiser if someone iframed a zip or email submit? Fuck no. I've posted my opinion on email/zip submits numerous times already and I'll stick with it: The offers themselves are fraudulent. The advertisers involved in them are fraudulent and the networks pimping them are fraudulent and on top of that the douchebags shave your leads to make even more money. But the marketer uses an iframe and all of a sudden he's the criminal. It pisses me off.
But to get off my soap box and get to your point, yes...I guess iframing is now considered fraudulent here whereas it was acceptable before.

What you people need to realize is that to some people there are quite thick lines of morality - I, for one, would never be able to commit fraud. Ask anyone who has worked with me. For such people, it is a necessity to find out whether something is illegal or not. I do agree with you to a certain extent, however; this forum does have a lot of bullshit coming from newer members. I don't believe this is some of it, though.

I understand that and respect it but if that is your mindset I guess my short answer would be, "if you have to ask if it's fraudulent, then it probably is". (At least to you it would be)

To me, the blackhat side has always been about driving the leads using slightly deceptive ways. I guess spamming/xrumer tactics do fall under this, and i guess craigslist aswell.

However I myself draw the line at autofill leads, SSM, Even at times iFraming. I don't know why, but to me its just too fraudulent to get involved in. Which is ironic, considering i developed applications to auto fill leads in when binded to warez, but it is fraudulent in my mind.

Just because you think an advertiser is shady, does not give you the right to use fraudulent tactics on them. Just because a grocery store has outrageous prices on items, doesn't give anyone the right to then steal that food. Ontop of that, Fraud then drives up the shaving/BS that goes on with the advertiser because at the end of the day, they need to make a profit. So whereas people think they are being Robin hood by stealing from the big bad advertiser, all they are doing is screwing over the little guys that are trying to do things legit.

@cheesepolice: Here is the crux of my issue with all this talk about fraud.
I've made my case in the past about email/zips so I won't go into detail but I'll offer a couple scenarios, neither are meant as a judgement on you. You have limits and I respect them But let's say:

You have a 100% WH site and drive all your traffic to it in a 100% WH way (organic search, ppc etc). You are receiving tens of thousands of unique visits per day so you put up a banner ad for a free iphone. Are you okay with that? Even though the offer itself is utter bullshit? Even though the poor moron who enters his email address will never, ever see a free iphone but only have his email sold over and over again? The end result of course is nothing but spam...all thanks to your (speaking theoretically remember) site he trusted.

Or...you have a legitimate forum (with traffic the same as above) for singles to discuss relevant issues and you put up an ad for a dating site like, oh gee I'll pull one out of my hat...Ashley madison. Are you okay making money with the ashley madison ad even though the site is almost completely populated with bogus female profiles?


Just some food for thought.
