Happy to be here! :)

o_O Who am I?
I've been doing SEO for 3 years, for an affiliate site right now.
Before this, I built email funnels and a paid newsletter.
I was a mechanical engineer in the automotive industry. That's what I went to school for.

:alien: What's Next:
I want to create web properties and build cashflowing digital assets.
I want to employ others but be flexible to their life needs and give them some stability in their lives.

:smirk: Today:
I'm learning Python
Will learn SQL
Building and testing sites
I'm big on testing (it's my engineering background coming out)

Let me know if I can help!

PS: How do I message people? JK ;)

Happy hear that you are an SEO expert. I am learning about SEO, and I want to be an expert in this field. Any suggestions for it?

Why would you give up on your professional career? SEO should be just like a part-time job for you. Do you have a license to practice?

Mechanical engineers don't have licenses to practice. That's not how it works.
Why did I "give up"? 3 reasons
  1. I didn't want my job options to be coupled to a geographic location. Almost all of manufacturing requires in person or travel. Therefore, if you don't want to move to a place, you won't be able to consider a job in that location. That gets very complicated as you have kids and build a family - you cannot just pick up and move your family. As an SEO, I can consider jobs with companies in limitless places. I can choose to work for a company that I really want to develop my skills at and NOT be forced to move.
  2. After 10 years in engineering, I realized that there's a rather low ceiling (although luckily a high floor) and I was not putting any money into savings (and yes, I drove a 10+ year old car and barely ate out). It was a dead end: I was never going replenish savings after emergencies let alone save for a home to live in.
  3. I wanted to be more entrepreneurial - engineers work at big companies with a lot of expensive capital equipment. I tried other ways and at one point had a team of 4 and contracted with those big companies. I didn't like the future that would have brought.
Part-time SEO: yes that is the future. I'm moving deeper into data and machine learning. That will be my next career within 6 months.

I'm by no means an SEO expert (sorry to disappoint). The best advice I received is try it for yourself: build 1,2,3 etc websites and try to rank them.
Also, learn how Google works: crawl, index, serving, etc. Many people don't understand how a website can appear on Google. Here's https://developers.google.com/search/docs if you're super beginner - if you're not, just skip ahead but keep going through it.

You wanna message people, try doing it and the platform will tell you how to do it while giving you a warning point and suspending your account at the same time !

Well... A wonderful person, hopefully one day soon I can learn more from you :)
