Topic clustering and website overall quality

Hi,

I read about topic clustering and how it's helpful to dominate an area.
Okay, now I create a pillar page and other closely related pages that are linked internally to this pillar page.

If we do this for all content, there will be many pillar pages and everyone has their own children.
That will result in counter stone pages with good traffic and pages with very little traffic.
Which will lead to a few pages with high quality and many pages with low quality.

Also, as we all know G measures the website's overall quality, and now most of the website's pages will be low quality compared to high quality pages.

That will lead to a website drop!!

For those who use this strategy of writing, what is right and what is wrong?

what the heck are "counter stone pages" lol?!?

Anyway, how do you know what the results will be like? If you create good content around good keywords all pages should rank. Why the assumption that you'll get "very little" traffic? If the traffic is "very little" (what's your idea of "very little" by the way?) it means you've not optimized the content properly, or that the competition for those keywords is too high and you need more time, more / better content, more / better backlinks, or any combination of these.

if you create low quality pages that's what you'll get, yes. So, try to create high quality ones

again, what you put in you get out. If you create low quality pages then that's what you'll have

That will lead to a website drop!!

Just do it, man! The best way to see whether it works is to do it and look at the results! If you follow proven strategies like the ones I've linked you with you will get results, stop assuming things

The only thing I can contribute to this discussion is the concept of search intent.

You're definitely on the right track in that you're thinking of topic clustering when building websites.

But that's not enough because topic clustering, eventually, becomes a race to the bottom.

Eventually, they generate into a desperate keyword-sniping type of deal.

Resist that temptation.

You have to focus on topic unity and theme consistency for your site.

How do you pull this off?

Put yourself in the shoes of your target audience's members.

What kind of information are they looking for?

What kind of problems are they trying to solve?

By approaching website building from this perspective, your chances of creating a site that is actually useful goes up tremendously.

Unfortunately, a lot of online publishers focus on the money that they stand to make.

So a lot of websites out there are very spammy or are so keyword driven that they are not as engaging and as useful as they could be.

You can stand out from the crowd by still targeting keywords, but doing a decent job also capturing the intent behind those keywords.
