Will Google Analytics track this?

So I'm concerned about this because there are certain keywords ranking with "http" and others with "https"

I'm not sure if analytics counts it all.

If not, is there anything or plugin I can use.

keywords don't have http, URLs do.

Yes, GA tracks everything, but whether or not it will show you is a different story

Yes I meant that certain urls have http and others have https.

Because google search console keeps them separate. I wasn't sure if analytics will even count them as a whole.

well, ideally you would want all of your URLs to be HTTPS instead of HTTP. And if this doesn't happen (even though your site is already using HTTPS) it means that google has not indexed the HTTPS version yet. So, you need to wait more, or force the indexing somehow... But this also assumes that you've already 301'd the links properly

Im new to redirection. But I did set a 301.. and the homepage thats http goes to https so it's working but I thought all indexed pages/post with http goes to https..

Because I click on the indexed post that contains "http" it says "not secure on top". I thought everything gets redirection to https not just the home page.

so it doesn't redirect then... or you might need to wait a bit longer (up to 24 hours) as sometimes redirections take time. You could also try clearing your browser's cache as sometimes this does prevent updated stuff from displaying. Or access the site through a different browser / device and see if it loads up the secure version.

I thought everything gets redirection to https not just the home page.

with SSL certificates everything gets redirected automatically. But if you don't have the certificate installed (which usually comes free when you buy hosting) you need to redirect each URL individually. I think there are method of doing this automatically for all URLs but I'm not particularly good with redirections so I don't know the steps, but you can google them... or maybe someone else can answer this

Okay so firstly thanks , appreciate the response.

1. I did redirection like 3 days ago, the http homepage automatically goes to https version thats how I knew it was working.
However when I type "search:mydomain" and I click on the post links that contain HTTP. It doesn't automatically switch to the https version. I tried on Firefox too. So that's why I'm confused since only the homepage shows https version.

2. SSL is installed, yeah true. I also don't know how to do them all separately. I just assumed everything gets redirected.

if SSL is installed then it does get redirected automatically

Ignore google for a moment and open up your website in a browser and click on the other pages. Do they show up with HTTP or HTTPS in the browser? If you don't have many pages (less than 50 for example) you can honestly check them all manually, it will only take you a few minutes.

If the pages don't have HTTPS when you check them in your browser then there's something wrong with either the SSL certificate, your hosting, or your site.

If the pages do have HTTPS then it's a google issue. More specifically, google needs to re-index or re-cache the correct version of those URLs, but I don't know how you can do this, sorry. I am not that advanced
