[Journey] First YouTube Automation Tutorial Channel

Hi all,

I've procrastinated too long and now it's time to get my YouTube channel off the ground! I've mostly focused on other projects and things I can scale / automate... and although I've made decent money with them, there was minimal passion and I just felt like I was going through the motions.

For my first channel, I'm going to focus on sharing my knowledge on browser automation bots and providing tutorials on how to build them with no coding experience. Looking at the minimal competition in my exact niche, I don't imagine the channel to be a skyrocketing success with high sub counts or views because the other channels are pulling in extremely low numbers.

Nevertheless, at least it will be something I'm interested in for a change and it will help some people out. Also, I intend to use this as a jumping off point... so start a channel on something I know a lot about, gain confidence and experience... learn from my inevitable mistakes... Then build more channels in other niches I'm interested in.

• Critical feedback

Basic Schedule

• Day 1: Record tutorial videos
• Day 2: Create step-by-step tutorials on website for each video
• Day 3: Upload videos and then promote or research promotion methods

Repeat in cycle.

My schedule will likely be very rocky to begin with, especially since I've got so much going on for the rest of Feb. Along with maintaining other commitments. But I just want to keep things simple.

If anyone has advice, questions or anything they'd like to add. Feel free!

Not really much response, but it's an introduction video on a channel with no content, so not really expecting much until I get more tutorial videos created.

UPDATE

So after a wedding + my birthday last weekend, then getting cold/flu straight after it's not been the most productive of weeks. Once I'm a bit more recovered and sore throat has cleared, will start recording videos again.

Starting to feel better now, so back to recording. I was hoping to get some thoughts on how to approach

#1 Take a simple bot I've made, then record a video deconstructing it and showing how all the pieces fit together
#2 Record tutorials for every feature in BAS

I'm trying to think of the best way to approach things. I'm thinking option #1 might be best to help people learn?

Update: Released 2 more videos, starting to get a trickle of views, comments and subscribers but not really started promoting them just uploaded. Started making tutorials with screenshots for the website also.

As I start releasing more tutorials, I want to aim towards community building. Does anyone have a suggestion for where most people prefer to make community groups now? Would a Discord be my best bet?
