and compared to years ago i only post maybe 2-4 days a week since i retired
so whats this limit thing - never had it b4

It’s cloudflare doing it.

It's a Cloudflare thing. Just connect from another pc, or make a hotspot through your phone and it will works, until you will get unbanned (few minutes/hours).

I think it happens when you refresh the website too often.

question: is that really all you were doing?? are you using a VPN? maybe your IP is abusing BHW.

@nohupt --- ive always used my home ip on bhw 16 years Virgin Media....
ive Never used a proxy on bhw - i do keep 1/2 bhw tabs open
on my browser in different forum sections - but ive also done that 16 yrs

ah. well maybe it's a new rate limit they implemented? i've noticed requests being made when i keep a BHW tab open but i think it's the reply draft saving feature.

slow internet / bad ip sometimes causes this issues

may be too many request in bhw searches or forum may raised the flag

How many bhw tabs opened that made you rate limited? Less than 10?

only thing i did AFTER the limit thing popped up was to
put the home page link into a web proxy to check my
account was OK, i didnt login though.

i had 4 tabs open....2 from BHW , my email and sports page
