Can CRO coin (crypto.com) reach $100?

Rather than talk about CRO's price... it's better to see the developments that are happening.

Aside from their cdc app, big advertisements, and platform. Don't forget they're also the developers of the cronos ecosystem which is just a little bit behind SOL right now.

Given the recent rally by Bitcoin, everything is still on the table.

But you have to understand that we're not out of the woods yet.

A lot of crypto market watchers are eagerly rubbing their hands thinking that we're in for the next bull run.

After all, the US Federal Reserve has kind of cooled off on its rate increases and it seems that the Dow Jones has basically made peace with a high inflation environment globally.

This translates of course to a lot more dollars going to more speculative investment assets like crypto.

But before you get all excited and start buying up tons of CRO or any other crypto out there, please understand that we're not out of the woods just yet.

A big reason why Bitcoin had a recent run-up was because of the liquidations of short positions.

What this means is a lot of people were betting that Bitcoin is going to crash below $15,000.

That didn't happen, so their positions got liquidated.

When that happens to short positions, they're forced to buy Bitcoin and you know what happens next.

The price spikes up.

What's missing?

That's right!

Organic demand!

There will always be underlying organic demand for people who are just stocking up on Bitcoin no matter its price.

That will always go in the background.

But what really drives the market is sustained organic demand.

And if you are only counting on short sellers covering their positions as your "organic demand," you might be in for a nasty surprise later on.

It's also anybody's guess how long the way in Ukraine will continue to drag on and how the oil shock will pan out in the future.

While there is reason to be optimistic, I don't think we're exactly back to the golden age of crypto.

You have to understand that the investment public has gotten quite a bit jaded on this investment asset class, especially after the whole FTX scandal.

I think 2024 when the next halving takes place can see some serious bull-runs but yeah, I think Bitcoin may again touch sub $18k levels.

You are like people who are waiting that Shiba coin become 10 $ :D

With so much backlash on CEX after FTX I doubt it will go that high anytime soon, just cut your loss while you can

Cutting losses in crypto is a terrible idea.

It's the best way to guarantee you're going to lose money over the long term.

It's far better to "cut your losses" in the sense of just holding and leaving it

Sadly you cannot always just hold and leave it…
Hold and leave it is what causes more loss.

Your coin can be removed from an exchange and if you just hold and leave it you probably miss their deadline to withdraw your coin and it’s gone.

Your coin’s dev team withdraw from active development and your coin is worthless.

Put a stop loss is way to go

In crypto, holding always results in more gains. In the stockmarket too. A stop loss is for traders, not investors, and investors always do better than traders. It's far easier.

Most people buy high, then sell low to "cut losses", or they keep doing buying and selling cycles that result in losses.

So you mentioned that you can miss a deadline to withdraw from an exchange and lose your coin.. I've never heard of any exchange giving you a deadline to sell otherwise they keep your coin. However, why would you keep any coin on an exchange if you're holding?

The second about the coins dev team withdrawing from active development.. This is kind of a moot point.

It doesn't actually work in practice if you think about it. If a coin's dev team announces it's abandoning the project, do you think you'll be able to sell your coin in the first place?

If you found out in advance of everyone else, then sure, sell. But that's an ultra rare event for someone to actually know ahead of the public that a coin is about to go under.. Obviously if that's the case you sell :-)

But in 99% of cases, in a bear market, "cutting your losses" will result in a loss. Think about it.. You buy at $10, then you panic sell at $6, or let's say you hold further and stupidly sell at $3 or even worse, $1. So a year later it's now $0.50. Do you buy more at that price? Most won't, because it's lower than the point they sold. They will wait for it to go up, and endup buying back at $5 if they sold at $3. Or if they sold at $6, they aren't going to buy back at $4, because psychologically it's lower than when they made the decision to sell, so they will still think it's too high risk. The vast vast majority, will only buy when it starts to rise fast again, so you end up with a, buy at $10, sell at $5, buy back at $7, then it goes up to $20 and they hold, then it drops, and some will sell about $10-$12, but many at this stage will hold. This is why most people fuck up in crypto. Their own psychology fucks them.

At $20, if they bought back at $7, they're greedy and want more, so they hold then. If it drops to $10, they still hold because they think it'll go back up. Then when it goes to $5-$6 they panic and sell again. Repeating this pattern.

If you HOLD everything, then what happens is you end up with 100-200x gains on a couple of coins, 10-20x on a few more, and some will zero. Worst case, you're going to end up with at least 1-2 100-200x+ gains unless you've only bought shitcoins.

Even if you went for riskier coins, on the upside you can have 1000-2000x gains in a couple of decades, vs the downside of losing what you put in.

And who cares if you lose everything you put in? What else were most people going to do with that money? Buy starbucks, mcdonalds, clothes and other crap that will all be useless in 20 years.

As long as you don't put in money that you will ever need, the strategy of holding forever is statistically the absolute best way to multiply your investment.

A normal person with a regular job might spend $200/mo on cakes/coffees. Instead of that, they could give up the cakes, feel healthier, and start making coffees at home instead of buying out. Invest that $200/mo in crypto over the next 10 years for a total of $24k. Better health and a big chance of having a huge retirement pot in 25-30 years as long as it's spread intelligently. Ie, 70% in the biggest projects like bitcoin, 20% in mid-cap coins and 10% in riskier low-cap coins.

I must be a genius, I don't own a single one of those coins, on Kucoin or elsewhere.

I am all for holding but it’s only for certain projects, applying all the same holding strategies to all of my portfolio is just not viable anymore.

I am also mixing between holding in my own wallet and exchange, because I find it easier to exchange to stable coin from exchangers, using my own wallet only for holding, my wallet won’t be exposed to this contract and that contract bullshit

I've never heard of any of those coins.. :-)

If you're going to invest in projects like that, then sure, you need a stop loss, but those kind of projects only make money for the people who get in before the pump.

Well it does not matter, I also don’t know most of those coins nor that I care, but investing always carry certain risks to it, any kind of investment.

And you can’t just say hold and leave them to make profit years later, it does not work that way, every once in a while you will need to evaluate your investment and make a move based on how it performs. And also good to follow news.

It does work that way :-)

It just depends whether you're investing or trading.

If you're trading, then yes, use a stop loss and watch the news.

If you're investing, then you just buy and hold forever. Wealthy people don't ever sell. They just keep accumulating.

Why would you need to sell? For money? Traders are are trying to make money. Investors already have surprlus money they need a long term home for.

I put money in bitcoin because I need a long term home. I don't need short term cash. What would I do with the money if I sell? Hold cash? Spend it? I could buy something else I think will go up in the short term but then I'm a trader trying to profit. Not an investor. That's the difference.

Most people here are better off being investors because it's easier. Even if you're not wealthy.

It's the same in stocks. You don't necessarily hold *forever*, but you hold very long term. The only way you'd dump your position in a company or sector is if you feel something is going to change that will drastically effect it and you want to move to another company/sector.

If you are invested long term in a company, and believe in that company, then the last thing you want is a stop loss. Instead, you'd BUY more if it's really low.

If bitcoin dropped to $10k, you know what I'd do? BUY.

If it dropped to $5k. I'd BUY.

If it dropped to $500. I'd BUY.

If it goes to $0. No problem. My downside is losing money I can afford to lose, but my upside? HUGE. If it drops to $500 and I buy $500k worth at that price, if it goes up to $100k, I've got $100 mil of bitcoin. If I lose, and I was wrong. Then I'm down $500k.

If I do a stop loss at $500, then what do I gain? Nothing. I sell my current bitcoin and get $20k. Great. Life changing stuff. I make a huge loss with zero chance of making more. Totally pointless. This is not how wealth is made. This is how people are driven into fear and FOMO cycles that make the smart people very wealthy.

100$ is nearly impossible. There's around 25 billions in circulation, it can maybe spike to 1$ or 2$ in the next alt season.

100 times 25 billion is 2 trillion 5 hundred billion which is 1/10 of US gdp in 2021. Nothing is impossible but this is very close to impossible.
