What has been your biggest crypto loss? :(

No because I thought he'll take the 1 BTC and do some magic voodoo tricks and poof make it become 2 BTC.

But in the end, I was left with only my dk in my hands :( :D
Well, if he send you 2 btc first and you send him 1 btc, then you get 1 btc for free! :)

My biggest crypto loss is an opportunity cost.

I didn't buy Bitcoin when a good friend of mine was basically begging me to buy it.

I was under the impression that he was suffering from The Bigger Fool Theory.

If you've ever been victimized by any kind of stock hype, you should already know what The Bigger Fool Theory is.

But just in case you guys don't know, The Bigger Fool Theory is basically a process where people bid up the price of something, not because they believe it has value.

They believe that, when people see the price going up, they would think that there is some inherent behind that thing.

I'm not even going to call it an asset.

I'm not even going to dignify these pump-and-dump schemes with that terms.

But the idea is that when the price moves fast enough and enough people buy it at an even higher price, it creates a stampede mentality.

This is called the Fear of Missing Out, and this is closely intertwined with the idea that even if you know you may be making a foolish move, there is a bigger fool out there who is going to outdo you.

I was afraid that this was going on with Bitcoin.

Think about it.

It has no physical equivalent.

Basically, it is just a measure of electrical energy expended to make calculations online.

That's the bottom line.

But I was mistaken because Bitcoin, at the time my friend was trying to get me to buy it, was around $10 or slightly less! Everybody knows its price now.

The biggest loss is that I didn't get in early enough.

I'm not big on the other markets that have developed around Bitcoin, but I believe Bitcoin is here to stay.

It will continue to have value because it has a large enough base.

I can't say the same for other cryptos.

Every crypto I invest on lately I lose. Not a great marketplace these days for speculators that hodl like me.

Hi folks, what has been your biggest crypto loss so far? and how much did you lose? :(

Personally, I've lost $10k shorting bitcoin at the bottom of 2018 lol.
Ripple about 500$. I put it at 1.80$ I think and then the bear market hit.

was just recently, I bought $2k worth of BGB and I panic sold during a dip. Few days later it reached a new ATH, with an 80% increase. Worse part is that my friend keeps taunting me.

My worst was a memecoin FOMO that went south faster than a...well, you get it. Sharing losses ain't fun, but learning from them is.. What'd you learn from yours? Tell us, and maybe we can dodge craters together..

Hold on? You guys are making profits? I thought the general consensus we all agreed on was buying high and selling low forever?!

I invested 1000$ in Safemoon and didn't Cash out the profit.

When I sold my 21 bitcoins at the $500 price mark.

It was with the stable coin of luna invested 5K when it came down to 60 cents and rode it back the 1$ then it came back down again and i put like 10K$ and it went to 0

this is crazy bro
Yeah. I saved up those 21 coins while working as a project manager for a currency exchange website at the time in EU (half salary in BTC). I already moved on though. I'm happy with the money anyways

When it comes back to $1.00 you are good bro. Any day now.

Probably when I sent my nephews some BTC for Christmas without realising how ridiculous the transaction fee was

When I started on my own WITHOUT ANY GUIDANCE, I lost 4 figures in $$$$

Biggest loss was not investing in bitcoin and taking admission in college. If I had invested that amount in bitcoin at time, I would have been in position to buy the college by now and still gave lot of money to retire.
