cannot write a book on chatgpt it gets stuck

Hello,

I send the request and it is starting to write and then it stops. After i dont know 20 lines
I have tried in the morning (so less US traffic), in the afternoon or at night
same things ...it does not complete the book and stops very quickly

Any ideas please why ?

Chatgpt has a limit that can write at once. If it stopped typing in the middle, type "continue" so it will get back from the part it stopped writing

So you ask ChatGPT to give you a 50 pages book and expect it actually to spit 50 pages out in one go?
It doesn't work like that.
You can write a paragraph by paragraph or a chapter by chapter, when it gets stuck you write "continue" for it to continue.
Don't expect 50 pages right off the bat, that's just unrealistic.

You should specify the number of words for each chapter and as others said write continue if it stops.

I use aiprm addon and they have a request "write a complete book" i chose that request and wrote "write a book on CITYNAME" and "continue" wont work ..i guess because of aiprm

I hate to be the bearer of badnews, but having done this before. Have it write in 250-350 word increments. A bit more time intensive but it will work. After 250 words, ask it to continue, etc...

I would do API calls and start with an outline. Store the responses, and then have it write the section for each chapter. Would likely work best if you outlined each chapter as well. Doing it with the API would also allow you to write multiple books faster.
