Hey, so like many people I jumped on the AI art hype two months back. Everyone was saying that artists will die off and everything will be AI art and AI art will make you millions etc. That got my attention, I played with every major AI art generator, you can even tell I became a "master AI artist". Okay , got my Ai art, made an Etsy shop, uploaded my art, those pieces were really neat. Got my account suspended from the start 2 times, month goes by, 3 days ago got my first sale, yay! Then a day later I got hit with a suspension, and today an email arrived that my account was permanently banned. Sad niba hours. Posted on Reddit, this has been an interesting journey and guess what, so many savage Karen's I haven't met in my life. So much anger in one place. Goddamm and I had 2.3K hours on CS:GO , which only means that I have lived through some anger-issue individuals.

Now I'm fine, because Reddit Moms made me realize that I'm more evil then the devil himself and everyone who benefits/wants to benefit from AI art is destined to go to hell. Long story short, I guess Etsy doesn't allow AI art even if you have a Midjourney Pro account or whatever.

Check fiverr they have a whole dedicated section to this lol

Also, I guess shutterstock also has AI section? Check it lol.

The place like Reddit you can expect that, nerds, moms, hard workers, so they won't like AI since AI can replace a lot of works, they become obsolete, we can relate that to be honest.

But the tech evolution will never stop, AI era is sooner or later, no one can stop it.

It's normal bro . You should send a ticket to support to reinstate your account .

I was on etsy for years. Ai art would go against their rules. Etsy is supposed to be for handmade, vintage/antiques, and supplies. Ai art doesn't fall under any of those categories. It's not your artwork. Some advice from someone who has had her own business for over 30 years. Don't just pick something to make money because people were talking about it and it got your attention. Find your passions and then find a way to make money from it.

idk how all those freaks find reddit and form a hive mind like that. over the silliest morals.

regarding etsy, suspensions are super frequent even for normal white hat biz. file an appeal.

if youre blatantly doing AI art you'll prob lose. maybe lie about it. these days you can use chat-gpt to help write it.

Yep , new experience , I mentioned that AI art would be everywhere and after 5 years AI will cover probably 90% of jobs. They didn't agree and said that I was stealing art (kind of) and Etsy was for handmade items only. I replied that those generic Instagram templates are as handmade as my art , because I have to type in specific prompts to make it. :D If anyone can stop AI, then it's probably Karen's "Football Mom" Division.

I sent it already, they haven't responded to my original ticket, but send out that my account is permanently banned. I guess permanently means that its forever ain't it?

I guess so , well I always wanted to try out Etsy as everyone was talking about it. I went in because I wanted another stream of income. But no biggie.

Yep , I really felt pretty bad for every man in their life , for their husbands and boyfriends.

As I mentioned , I was suspended 2 times at start and now again after making sale. Some people had the same problem when they made first sale , but I don't know. How they can track that my art is AI? Just I've seen mentioning AI art in their titles ,etc. And they had couple sales for a brand new shop. Thanks.

Reddit can be a very toxic place. Makes CS:GO and even the 12 years olds in CoD look like angels
:D There should be some study on this. Twitter - Reddit. Which is more cancerous? I've heard some horror stories on Twitter as well.

regarding the other shop, check back in a week. they'll likely be disabled too.
there's likely reddit communities of etsy hunters that go around search for rule violators and get together to bulk report.
same with etsy staff. they have 2400 employees according to google. it's in the realm of possibility they assign a few to looking for AI art shops & other stuff against TOS.

Journey to make less competetion on etsy and bank hard alone

Etsy is really not all that. Their search feature is terrible, it's flooded with items that go against their rules, and in turn it chases customers off. If you want another stream of income, sell on ebay or facebook marketplace. Or poshmark. Flip stuff. But flip actual stuff and build up a following. I see a man in the post office every now and again and every time I see him, he wheels in an Ikea wagon full of packages. I struck up a conversation with him while waiting in line and he sells on poshmark. He's making good money. And if you want to get black hat, you can do that with poshmark and the use of bots. Poshmark turns a blind eye to it.

Upload the same stuff on redbubble, society 6 and may be teepublic.

You will make some good bucks.

Yep, most likely.
2400 employees, but they still take two weeks to respond to any support ticket. That's the way to go.
Suddenly I have a business idea - sell some kind of software that bulk reports, where you add thousands of proxies, private servers, etc. and just make any Etsy shop disappear in a matter of seconds and do some low-key promotions on some Karen subreddits. But in reality, I still don't understand how they detect - that is AI art , that is the one I think about.

Will watch the entire Joker series and get back to you.

I thought about eBay , but I live in the EU, so I'm hesitant because of the shipping costs. And of course if I remember correctly then eBay goes with PayPal only or is it a option? I took a blood oath 3 years ago to never use PayPal again. :D FB Marketplace seems like a good idea. I would love to go for Poshmark Sidehustle, but it's only for US ;/
Thank you for the tips :)

I don't know bro, I got banned on Redbubble some time ago, I hate them even more than Etsy. I made some shitty designs that I'm not proud of and got banned, while on the first pages there are every trademark infringement possible , but they let it fly. That's the shit I hate - it's 2023, equal rights n stuff, so let me live on your platform and abuse it the same way others do :D

Thank you for the other two options though, will check it out. :)

Same here. I hate paypal with a fiery passion. Ebay and paypal broke up. Now ebay has their own shopping cart just like everyone else and they call it ebay payments.

Redditors are something else man and I'm talking from experience.

Did you reveal the fact that your art was AI-generated? If not, how do you think they managed to discover you were using AI-generated imagery?

Yep, most likely.

you know its crazy but it may work
look at all the negativeSEO guys doing it. they charge $2k-10k+ to throw shitty links at a site and do devious tasks to tank a sites serps.
any thread talking about nseo gets you flamed hard here but just know these guys exist and there are some interesting white papers on google. the most recent one i recall is someone with a nseo agency, around 2016, did a email blast to various small biz. told them they can take their competitor off the google map with negative seo. 80% of emails responded favorably and were ready to send a cheque.

Many websites are not allowing AI art also in reddit they remove it if is not in the correct category or if you make it look like you made it they will remove your post, seems that artist are more strict with AI art, there should be a market is just to find the correct category and site that support it.

I don't know why people waste their time trying to sell junk that has no value. Like, you can't be bothered to do anything productive so you thing "ai" is going to pick up your slack. People with a mentality like this deserve to be perma-poor. Even here on BHW people at least put in an effort to sell products that are actually useful. You typing a prompt into some stupid AI image modifier, and lets be real here, the output of "stable diffusion" and similar programs is really just taking something someone else drew and changing it slightly. It's a glorified photoshop filter. You fools are like the ones who downloaded EYECANDY back in the day, applied the stupid FLAMES filter to some text and called yourselves expert LOGO DESIGNERS. If this is the best you can come up with, just get a job cleaning toilets or something because at least then you are doing something useful.
