It's not just that they are bots. This new system is flagging accounts as bots for doing things like liking, posting, and retweeting. Elon wants to curtail a lot of behavior that makes Twitter Twitter.Over the last few days I started losing quite a lot of followers, API bots I guess. So don't be surprised if you see your follower count go down.

Yep, I'm losing an average of 65 followers a day.
Yet when I manually check/refresh my follower list, I'm growing several new followers every few minutes.

If we are losing followers because we have bots following us - no problem with that at all as it should mean over time Quality takes over Quantity.
