i do most of my sites without wordpress. not to say i don't use WP, but they are in the minority in my network. you can implement a lot more creative code without the need for all the wordpress codex bogging your server down. lightning fast loading, simple code. i go for what's the most efficient outcome, not what's the easiest to create.

I must ask, on some wordpress sites when I check the page source, I see often the code is full bloated with span tags overall.

Is that normal ? Then doing a check on a Squarespace site the code is much cleaner.
check: www.charlotteohara.ca way much more clean code but a lot of white space (white space will slow down page load)

(clean code: ok it depends how much blocks you add to a page same in wp)

So the search engines will prefer websites with clean code, maybe I be overwhelming with this, since the search enginges have many strict rules , but many of them are not real the truth....

Well I love squarespace so much so easy to use, but for building up two separate business (domains) websites it's a little bit expensive with $60 monthly for both. I'm a fan of squarespace but must admit it's not so seo flexible as wordpress, especial when you want build contenthubs like bloomberg to gain muötiple serp listings.
