I own a very good account, but i can't change the old phone number i don't have access to. Every time i try to change the number i get error - wrong number. Number is not wrong because i used it to verify another new account. I'm afraid that someday i will get re-verify phone prompt and lose my twitter. In my 2 years twitter career and handling over 100s of accounts i got re-verify only once when i posted near 100 tweets/day with bot.

What is your experince? Have you ever got re-verify phone on your accounts?

I very rarely have that. For my main money accounts I use cheap pay as you go sim, for other online pva.

You can sometimes get account back by reaching out to support and saying "Hey I no longer have this phone"

Sometimes they lock you out and you are never able to recover. Try getting another prepaid sim card and use that. If it's not letting you change it you're most likely somewhat restricted by the anti bot measures

Can't you just delete the phone number and leave the phone number section in settings empty?

Happened to me once. Locked out of account and I didn't have access to the phone number I used to verify. Wrote to twitter help and nothing happened. A few months later wrote again and suddenly they gave access to my account. Since then I delete the phone number after verifiying.

I'm afraid to delete the number to not trigger any locker in my account. I just left this number as it is. I login from the same IP all the time so i hope will never be re-verified

They never ask to unless you do some bot kind of activity, like you follow more than 30 handles within 2-3 hours

If restricted, how long does it take for the restrictions to be removed?
