A Perm Ban for a joke?

Bunch of guys were making a joke about an imaginary item and got banned.

Seems excessive to me.

I hardly see how crapping up my web browser with 30 tabs is cool?
Not to mention the number of threads created each day was ridiculous.

Normal threads with legitimate questions became crapped up with g-pass garbage.

no it really isn't. I would personally love having a ban hammer at hand to smash the skull of the bastard S-O-B who dares mess up my browsing session with his stupid shenanigans.

The browser thing is not cool... but the ban on several because they were making a joke about an imaginary thing that would allow you to post on craigslist is a bit much in my opinion.

IMO the worst part was that some people actually believed it was out there.. I wouldn't be surprised if people actually were scammed by someone offering a "G-Pass"

That would be messed up if that happened but to me it was clearly a joke when I saw the postings as it had way too much hyperbole in the postings to be real... some guys said it washed their car, made them dinner, etc.

Come on... how can anyone believe it was real with those kind of comments?

The only real issue was the browser issues. And people were being to directed to sites with men f*cking. I don't know about you but that's nothing I wanted to see.

That's not true.. if you look at the threads, there were people that were banned that didn't send them to disgusting sites... they just joked about the fake, unrealistic and imaginary thing to make money on a classified site.

The browser issue is plain wrong.

Sending you to a filthy porn site is wrong.

Scamming someone by selling them something fake is wrong.

Joking about it... I don't see as wrong.

This is not my site and I have not been here long but I fail to see why some of that crew got banned.

Maybe I should reread the TOS before making any more comments.

Bans like this are more than justified. This isn't fucking DP and it isn't play group. If people want to act like Children and DPers, then ban the cunts and send them back from whence they came.

banning doesn't hurt them to begin with, most of them are fresh accounts anyway right? Besides, I think it got the message out across really quickly on what shouldn't be playing, on BHW
