Are there any Alphabet Soup Tools that can do this?

We all know the typical alphabet soup method:

keyword a
keyword b
and so on

But are there any alphabet soup tools that can automatically dig into questions with wildcards (without having to do it manually)?

EXAMPLE:

who * keyword *
who * keyword * a
who * keyword * b

OR

what * keyword *
what * keyword * a
what * keyword * b

OR

what a * keyword *
what b * keyword *
etc.

Any suggestions?

Scrapebox can do this (among million of other things), just watch this:

You can fast forward to minute 9:00 to check this function specifically, but I recommend you watch the entire video anyway because it's eye opening :)

If you don't want / like / can't afford SB another tool that can do it is Keyword Snatcher. I think it costs $47 or $67, but it's a one-time fee and you can let it run and it will find you 1000s upon 1000s of great long tails. And yes, it does have a wildcard, but it only works with google and I don't think you can use it to as long of an extent as SB does, but I didn't try it so I can't say for sure.

But it's still a good tool to have, I let it run for 2 days straight last week and found 50k long tails. Of course, KS is not as powerful as SB, but hey, for the cost you can't complain!

I don't know of any free tools that can do this, however (they might exist, but I don't know them, so you'll have to excuse me for not recommending freebies in this particular case). Maybe someone else can chime in with some free tools :)

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I did have SB years ago but I lost the license information so I can't use it now and now feel like buying it again.

Hopefully someone will chime in with a free alternative.
