Purchased an aged expired domain. Asking for recommendations.

Hi, recentrly i have purchased an aged domain name with very good seo metrics.(The domain name is still in google with a few urls). My plan is to create newspaper portal or blog with new artciles.
My question is what can i do with the old articles found in archive.org? To restore it, or to do 404 redirect with a plugin? If not necessary i would restore the old articles because will not fit 100% with my new content(The old site was a newspaper style articles magazine)

Follow the advice there and apply (with your own creativity) on your site. As soon as the old backlinks are relevant to the new site (eg: if you have backlinks from the soccer niche, it's ok to create a soccer news portal), everything should be ok.
