white hat entrepreneur going to the dark side

I?ve been learning and lurking here for a while and been getting quite an education. Big thanks to everyone here who shares their knowledge!

I have an interesting situation on my hands.

For the past 6 years have been the owner of a successful and profitable boutique web design and offline IM company (all local). But I want out.

Too many high maintenance clients, too many excuses for slow payments ? my patience has been drained - I?m sure you know the story!

I have lots of knowledge, and great resources to build another business that doesn?t require ?clients?:

3 staff, 5 desks 6 computers, virtual PBS phone system, high speed internet, all in a nice little office in a heritage building in a city in Canada.

Are there any blackhatters here who run a purely BH business? If you were me what would you do to transition to a BH business model with the resources I have described? Would you even advise it?

Even in the short term to raise enough cash that I could keep m y team, and develop another white hat but pure online business selling ??? would be great. I just can?t take the bad clients any more

I?d love to get any advice you're willing to share.

Why not transition to another whitehat method and something that is less interaction intensive. Blackhat is NOT a business plan. Your best plan is grin and bear it while you deal with the bullshit that comes with owning your own business and slowly transition into something else. To give up what you are doing now to try and pickup something blackhat to transition into something else whitehat is beyond retarded.

But I could put up with the BS if I was getting super rich . Sounds like you know what you're talking about.

My business model is simple...

Respectable whitehat front....backed up by blackhat tactics/techniques

I'm mainly doing affiliate marketing so customer maintenance and support is for the merchant.

The blackhat brings the traffic....

No matter what business model you choose you will always need something to showcase as "your business"...and that should look as clean and legit as possible.

Unless of course your targeted clientele are blackhatters....

But no too careful, otherwise you get no where.

It takes a bit of organizing to keep your blackhat stuff separated from your whitehat stuff and to cover your tracks.

I feel your pain! I was dealing with the public, live people one one on one for 20 years working on big money projects. They can make life miserable.

I would keep your white hat stuff seperated from anything you do in the black.

Learn what black is, try out some of the techniques....continue to learn until you can make a comfortable financial move away from your existing buisness.....don't just give it up or try to transform it.

You've got a business so you can get another google account. Get seperate hosting...stuff like that.
