is video posting location matter for tiktok?

I'm managing a tiktok account (uploading videos) for one of my clients. He created this account in the USA and uploaded one video.

Now I'm going to upload content for him but I live in Asia. so is these video will reach to USA audience or my country's audience?

Yes, location does matter. If you post from the USA then you get 80% traffic from the USA and 20% from the rest of the countries.

Tiktok algorithms (apart from other factors), does consider from where videos are uploaded (published). So, if US is the target audience, then it is better to consider uploading with a US IP. Ofcourse, you can use any proxy, but Tiktok algorithms (nowadays) also factor in the trust factor of an IP. If an IP is a datacenter IP, then the trust factor is low, if it is a residential or better a mobile (4G) proxy, then the trust factor is much higher. And again with proxies, you will have to consider case-by-case, which proxies or rather which proxy provider allows uploading and also uploading speeds should be good enough to upload videos in an efficient manner. No pain, no gain & nowadays in internet marketing : no money, no honey. So, if you cut corners, it could result in you just wasting your time and efforts.

As I know, Using proxies on a mobile phone is not that easy. If we set the proxy in the android setting, when we check IP via browser, we can see IP changed but it won't affect most of the apps. They are still using our real IP.

They are 80%+ USA followers. That's because of the way I created the account and how I post too. I don't have any sim attached to the account. I use only email

you will require a 4g proxie also from the
USA to run with the account .

You need to be connected to a network for the location you want to reach, let me share the following from tiktok location information help center "To help us improve your app experience, we use location information for the purposes set out in our Privacy Policy, such as to show you videos and content that are popular in your area" so your IP location will affect the target audiance.

As far as I know, you should use a US phone number and vpn for posting to make sure it will target the USA. if not, it's probably taking Asia as primary audience
