Make a subreddit for your site and post links with short excerpts there, some social signals help as well.

There shouldn't be any issue.
I've used paid indexers a few times and haven't noticed any negative effects, you are not getting spammed with crap backlinks or anything like that.

From my experience, submitting the links manually is usually faster and more effective than the paid indexers.
Social signals, Reddit post and manually submitting for indexing should get you covered.

Speeding up indexing in general:

1) Proper internal linking - are your inner pages linked to from indexed pages on the same domain? How far away are they in 'clicks' from your most-linked page (which is usually your homepage)?
2) External links - is the only way to access your inner pages from other pages on the same domain? In this case you're at the end of a one-way street. Build external links to your pages and you build more inroads.
3) Paid indexers - the current crop of indexers have a high success rate, unless your pages are only a dozen or so words.
4) Anything silly going on? Have you made sure there are no 'noindex' tags on your pages? How about disallow statements in your robots.txt? Even the best of us miss things sometimes.
