Ye always listening to jazz for almost all works, but when I'm doing something that I am already familiar with, I change to rapDo you listen to music while you work? Why or why not![]()
You got any YouTube channels you recommend?Yeah, I always listen to music while I'm working. For me progressive house or deep chill music is the perfect music for playing in the background, so I basically play it continuously throughout the whole day. Without it it just feels too frickin' quiet.

Here are 2 of my favorite in similar genres if you wanna check em out. I listen to these every day:
@ everyone saying that music is too distracting: try listening to something without lyrics (check out the 2 channels above if you're into that style). It's the brain trying to decipher the auditory verbal stimuli while simultaneously taking in visual words that causes the cognitive glitching to happen. Without the lyrics, I focus way better than I do when it's silent.
Thanks, definitely gonna check all of those out.Cool, I subscribed to them now, looks like I'll fine some nice mixes for my taste there!

"Please write me a few paragraphs for an article on listening to music whilst working that I can post to Black Hat World."Listening to music while working can have both positive and negative effects, depending on the individual and the specific task at hand.
On one hand, music can be a great way to boost productivity and creativity. It can help to create a more relaxed and focused work environment, and can also help to reduce stress and anxiety. Some studies have shown that certain types of music, such as classical music, can help to improve cognitive performance and concentration.
On the other hand, music can also be a distraction and can make it harder to focus on the task at hand, especially if the music has lyrics or if it is too loud. Additionally, if you're working on a task that requires a lot of concentration, like coding or writing, music might not be the best idea.
In summary, listening to music while working can be beneficial if it helps you to stay focused and motivated, but it may be a distraction if it pulls your attention away from your work. It's best to experiment with different types of music and volume levels to find what works best for you and your task, and to be mindful to not use it when working on important tasks that require concentration.
if its automated shit which take no cognitive function yes, if it takes focus i lower the volume drastically or just turn it off completelyDo you listen to music while you work? Why or why not![]()
