Personality does not matter (those days are gone). Self confidence is what matters (nowadays), especially as a marketer.

MBTIs are a marker of self confidence and helps show in what way(s) it manifests. There are also many workplaces where the employer asks what the MBTI of the applicant is to determine whether that person would be a good fit for the company, so that isn’t entirely true.

Ofcourse, if working in a company, personality, height, shoe size, tattoo or no tattoo, tea or coffee, etc, etc, etc, may matter, no doubt about it.
For me particularly, personality does not matter, it is results that matter and more important aspects such as self-confidence, etc.
In many scenarios, even when I have lacked in some product knowledge as compared with other marketers, I have been able to sell more than them, due to the self-confidence projected.
Ofcourse, different people have different expectations and different people look out for different aspects and that is quite expected and normal.

Where wouldn’t it matter? Personality matters in all aspects of life, from relationships to business. You can have all the confidence you want, but if you’re a douche, I’m not working with you — as simple as that.
