There are lot of youtube channels about walking on some big cities and around the natural to give a meditation experience.
Of course you need good equipment for this.
Anyone had the same idea or doing this to share experiences?

gl. i see few channel doing this. wonder will you get monetized or not

There a two reasons why this might be a bad idea just in terms of monetization:

1. Low CPMs. Which companies are going to pay adrevenue to a channel that only walks around a certain city?
2. You're not creating transformative content. YouTube has been very strict lately when it comes to videos where there is no person talking. They've removed monetization from massive channels because of that reason.

The CPM can be low for that kind of videos.
Anyway similar channels are getting a lot of views. I personally like this type of video at the end of the day :)
Adsense is one, but there are a lot of monetization possibilities (affiliate, cheap flights, bookings, comissions from local attractions, etc).

I'm pretty sure that youtube wants the content to be transformative for channels that reuse other people's content. If you record yourself walking, the content is yours, you don't have to transform it

That's not the case anymore. This also applies for your own content.
As I said there have been huge channels that created their own content, but just because they did not talk in the video they were removed from the YPP. There's nothing special or skillful walking through a city. Anyone can do that. The thing that adds value to the video is some sort of commentary.

can I see the channels you're referring to? there could be other reasons
I just checked some walking tour channels and all are monetized

I can already tell those CPMs are mad low, wouldn't waste my time walking for that. Would rather walk and make my own experiences and just have fun without a camera.

I personally find these videos kinda creepy. Especially those filming around beaches. As other people have said, you will have a low CPM and risk for demonetization. Also you need to spend money on a quality camera and microphone, aswell as traveling to different cities/places. I'm not here to stop you however. If your videos are better than the competitors, you can for sure succeed. Good luck!

you might make highligt information in the the corner of you video's when walking in famous local places. If you get views. you even can monetize by asking if they want to be in your video for a fixed rate.

Must go to walking street, Pattaya in Thailand. Peoples are interested to see :) :)

I've seen a few of those in YouTube and the amount of views these are getting is crazy lmao.
I'll be following this since I've been thinking to do the same with a GoPro!
Good luck on your journey mate!

Very. Especially the street videos from South American and East Asian countries, like in Tijuana, Mexico. Often times, they purposely slow the video down when a hot woman is in the frame and zoom in on her body. Or walk very closely behind them.

i had one and I did give up.
you can't really crow because of every f. city there are videos of other channels with plenty of views. for a new one its not possible to will be found in the search and how else you want to crow. I had like 700 after a long time and no views. its just boring and as said not sure if you can monetise the channel.
I can't recommend.

Sometimes content is not everything. Have you uploaded video and just left it?

Sure cpm is low but who the fuck cares? You'd probably get more money from brand sponsorships.
