Will ChatGPT replace programmers?

Definitely chatGPT will replace coder, not programmer.

If you know the difference between coder and programmer, so you know.
if you do not know, ready to be replaced

AI is not going to replace programmers, if coders might be

In my experience so far I have always tried AI to see if they can answer it
until now there is no public AI that can answer about what I have made, only simple of code that they can answer

Yes, it does help programmers. But it also makes programmers less valuable and needed.

No one mentioned GitHub Copilot.

If you know how to use it properly, you no longer need to Google when you are stuck.

Or read documentations.

There are some really niche situations when I need to Google now.

I'd say that I am at least twice as productive as I've been two years ago.

(back then, when you get stuck, you had to leave your IDE and search
blogs, stackoverflow, or read through the documentation. Switching contexts
like that is very time consuming)

And I see a lot of others reporting the same.

So, that means if every dev used it efficiently, the work load is cut in half.

Obviously, that will devalue programmers efforts.

And we have this technology, right now.

It's only gonna get better with time.

It won’t replace programmers, and sure won’t replace software engineers.

It may be able to do some newbie stuff but it’ll be a long long long time before it can run with the big boys.
