They always say: "do something you like and have some knowledge about" to grow a following.

Well, I'm quite good at situational sarcastic humor in real life, my colleagues told me to do something with that skill. I know that sarcasm can be quite difficult to portray in text though, but I'll figure it out

My plan is to do this on Twitter, because I need 'material' from others to work with. I do like automation as well though, so I might use a tool to for instance post humor memes etc. this will keep the profile active.
Monetization wise: It should be possible to later down the road sell merch or funny items people like to buy.

I just wanted to mirror with you guys if this would be something that has potential? Any thoughts on Dos and Don'ts?

I BTW wrote this in 5 mins or so, and I'm still forming a plan in my head, but just wanted to get a response from the community.

Well, people like laughing don't they?
If your content is even slightly good and you are consistent, there is no reason for you not to succeed.

If you are going for a niche like this, make sure you don't go by the organic traffic road because this will be so difficult. Instead, increase your social media presence by creating images and videos for platforms like Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok etc.

Nowadays people are looking for entertainment.

You're in the right spot, also on Twitter :)

It's good to start something and no niche is waste due to experience, start and add your growth experience to explore.
You're right, always something to learn!

In that sense it will stay an evergreen topic, true!

Thank you for your input, I'll surely look into it! I did hear that you can get fast traction when you respond to a popular personality or something. I'll do some extra research.

Make Twitter fun again, lol. But true, all voices are allowed once more, so making fun of crazy wokies won't get you instantly banned.

Doesn't cost you anything to start.

On twitter there is any kind of humors.

So good luck

Your plan sounds interesting. Do you want to create original humorous content?

Correct, more edgy humor is allowed again on Twitter due to the takeover by Elon.

I have a site in the humor niche. In terms of monetization, it's not a great niche tbh. I haven't tried monetizing it with merchandise but with ads+affiliate, it's kinda pathetic.

Yeah, that's good. Apart from creating your own content you can also curate other peoples funny quotes and jokes and re-share in your Twitter. Do you also plan to start your own website for this?

You can try it, Twitter now draw the line of the limits a little big higher, and defenetely you can start selling merchandise, just make sure to interact with your followers and all that so they feel the product is real and no just spam, I mostly have humor pages in my personal twitter account, love to laught after a long day.
