Can't Secure Youtube Handle that's not Taken

I am trying to secure a youtube @ that's not taken, but for some reason, Youtube won't allow me to secure it. No one has the handle because it goes to 404. Anyone has any idea what's happened with this?

Nah, I doubt it's banned, since the first-day handle was released, I tried it and wasn't able to claim.

see if web archive has anything to offer but eventually it could be that someone is botting account name that will auto take the handle+get banned every few days, and when you check account is banned (low chance ofc as you are checking often) another scenario it's blacklisted since day 1 then most likely :/

It must be some popular name. Such as I want to claim TikTube and it wasn't claimed as well. But I could not set it. I contacted YouTube, and they told me that there are other famous channels with the same name, so they have reserved it.

The name isn't that popular, so that's strange. I will try to reach out to Youtube to hear what they say. Thanks

try to change user agents to mobile etc and location maybe even browsers
