I have a Youtube account which uploads movie parodies which contains footage from the movie. They are unmonetised, yet still being copyright claimed and taken down. Is there any way around this so that they can stay visible? I don't understand how so many channels can post movie trailers, BTS, outtakes, edits, etc and not have their videos removed?

Mirror the image, Zoom in and out on every change of scene, If its stereo audio make one of the 2 audio tracks slightly distorted (pitched or whatever) if its mono convert it to stereo first.
You could also put another moving video on top of the movie scene (for example "Free Video Backround loops" on youtube) and make it only 10-20% opacity.

Basically distort video and audio so youtube does not recognize it anymore.

I see some copyright anime on youtube. They removed the original sound and replaced it with no copyright music.
