Hello BHW fam,

With so many "gurus" teaching and offering online courses especially in digital and social media marketing,
how do you sort through the information efficiently and figure out which one is good and bad?

I understand that no course is 100% perfect and one could always learn something,
but obviously some have a higher percentage rating in practical application than others.
How do you sort through on what is relevant practical information and what is not?

Solely based on this, I would watch as many courses as possible about a particular topic and take as many notes as I possibly can, and build my own criteria about them.

Afterward, start implementing the strategies learned in those courses and closely monitor/track results.

After a while, you should be able to see what works and what doesn´t and, when it comes to social media marketing courses, be able to detect what is BS and what actually works quickly.

But for this to happen, you need to have both foundational knowledge and empirical experience implementing that knowledge for you to be able to say, "this is pure BS".

Thanks for the response. That makes sense. Do you watch the course content at 2x speed?
The double edge sword is currently there is so much course content out that it becomes overwhelming.

There is only so many hours during a day, reviewing all the content on one topic takes quite a bit of time and not to mention
application. How do you review the information faster and process it more efficiently?

If you are looking for good courses, look for courses suggested by forum members it will save lot of time

Start learning from anywhere. Once you have enough basic knowledge, it becomes easier to figure out if the next course/video/tutorial you're watching is more advanced than you or not.
From there you keep improving by doing harder and harder stuff, so you will naturally learn to recognize and avoid useless courses/videos/tutorials.

It just takes times. There's no shortcut.
